Jarman Park is looking a little run down these days, but the cinema is still up an running and good value. The staff are always friendly and help you choose good seats (or you can still book on-line). The free parking is always a bonus too.

I liked the seating, and the size of the theatre, as was quite small. We had the nachos which were very disappointing (esp compared to Vue Cinema ones!) as they were solid..!!

The cinema is about the only unit still functioning here in the complex. It is usually not a problem to get a ticket for most films but has its limits. Best to order the tickets online before you go as due to cutbacks the tickets are sold now at the sweet/popcorn stands.
Only draw back is the lack of anything else at the location bar Pizza Hut or a McDonalds over the road - no good if as adults you want a quick pint. This is soon to change mind according to the local paper with various food outlets coming. we shall see.

We are keen visitors to the Hemel Empire. Wednesday mornings for the Seniors programme, £3 a person plus tea or coffee and a biscuit, brilliant schedule. And then the normal fare, best value on Tuesdays. For commercial cinemas very well run and plaudits to Richard.

This cinema is in decline due to the stigma attached to Leisure World. It's run-down and that's putting it politely. It's normally unclean and the seats are worn or uncomfortable with NO leg room. The screen and sound is well below par when compared to Watford or Hatfield. Due to the closure of most of the complex there really is no point in visiting this cinema when you get a much better experience a few extra miles down the road. The good news is the council are injecting a lot of money into transforming Leisure World so hopefully Hemel may have a decent cinema once more?
