We booked out New Year's Eve night out back in February as we'd heard such good things about this restaurant. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and presented with a choice of drinks and personalised menus that had lots of choice. We gave our orders for all 3 courses before being shown to our table. The room was nicely decorated and it wasn't long before the food was delivered. It was all delicious with good sized portions. The waitresses were excellent, very efficient and couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. Near to midnight more bubbly arrived and hot snacks at 12.15 although we weren't the slightest bit peckish.
The first singer who entertained us while we were still eating was very good and we liked her choice of songs; the main band was also good and got everyone up dancing. The comedian had us chuckling on several occassions.
So, what was the not so good? Firstly, there were no party poppers, silly hats etc. Secondly, the band played through midnight so no sound of Big Ben and the 10 second countdown was about a minute late. Thirdly, there were several children present which isn't necessarily a bad thing but seemed quite inappropriate when the comedian was telling his 'blue' jokes. One of the children started to cry during his set which also spoiled the atmosphere some what.
Not sure it was worth the £90 each we paid and we won't be returning.
