I went to the Bar Azita last night, the food was great particularly the Azita Mediterranen Blend.

For a Tuesday night the place was still busy which says a lot in itself. From the minute we walked in we were made very welcome, however the best point in the place were the staff absolutely great, we even asked at a very late stage of the night whether they would do us a jug of sangria, this of course was not on the drinks list, was it a problem ? no, off they went googled a recipe and came back with the jug of sangria. They commented that they will now be putting it on the drinks list.

All round great experience and the bill for three was less than £200 but please be mindfull that this included three bottles of fine wine and a jug of sangria, the food three course was only around £20 per head

stumbled upon bar azita in harpenden and was pleasantly surprised - food and ambience was great however was ruining by the annoying waitress who kept coming over and asking us if we were ready to order three times despite us telling her we were waiting for a friend! We were informed we had to vacate the table by 745 which we ok with, however, we felt that the waitress was very aggressive - trying to rush us through our meal and trying to clear our plates whilst we were still eating!!! end result? we left the table at 730 because we could not stand her anymore! this was overall a good experience however it was ruined completely by the waitress who even while we were paying our view kept staring at us from behind the bar!!!!!

A party of 4 of went for an early Friday sitting and the place was already looking busy. We had the sharing menu for £20 which had starter(s), main and desserts. Service was very quick and professional. Waitress was very new but always promptly found answers for questions she did not know. The bakkover dessert was a good end to a very good meal.

On the strength of personal recommendations and TA reviews we went there tonight, myself,my wife and our 10 year old daughter
all 3 of our party agreed it was a 5 star experience
the names of the dishes were slightly confusing
why call a caprese a Reyhoon?
but everything we ate was prepared or cooked beautifully
service was to our liking 3 course in 90 minutes flat
the whole feel of the place was nice, from the lizards on the wall, to the lighting, to the service
We will return
the reviewers that bemoan its cramped etc.puzzle me
you can see the layout through the window and although small its small in a good way
its not a restaurant in the Michelin sense ,but in going out with your family and enjoying a meal its perfect
the pitta bread was gorgeous
the only slight downsides were the chips, which in hindsight we didn't need
and it was fairly expensive, but they do good lunch time and early bird offers to suit all budgets
but hey! this is harpenden
you get what you pay for,and it was worth it
we did around 90 quid between 3 of us including drinks

I went to Bar Azita yesterday evening with a group of friends. The restaurant has now been extended to hve a separate Tapa & cocktail bar next door to the main restaurant. We didn't stay in the bar as we had a table booked in the main restaurant.
We had a selection of hot & cold meze for starters - the grilled halloumi was excellent. For mains I had a chicken and rice dish. Everyone else had lamb & the lamb looked beautifully cooked.
The food is a bit more pricey than some of the other restaurants in Harpenden, but the quality is superb.
The restaurant was extremely busy but this did not compromise the attentive & hard-working nature of the staff.
Would definitely come back here to eat again, and maybe sample some of the cocktails & Tapas.

Tip: This is a very busy restaurant, so I would reccommend making a reservation to avoid missing out!
