We only stayed for 1 nights B & B, but would definatley go back again, loveley hotel in a fantastic location. My partner had purchased a voucher for my birthday for a standard room, which i believe was in the annex just off the main house and after reading some of the reviews was a little concerned. The annex itself looked fine so maybe it had been upgraded but couldnt say for sure as we never stayed in it.
Part of the voucher stated that if a luxury room was available we could get a free upgrade and were pleased to find out that there was. The staff on reception were very helpful and even offered to help with our bags. We were also taken from the reception area and shown the bar and restuarant along with the guests lounge with a large open fire place,( there was a loveley smell around the hotel of open fires that was not too overpowering) where you can sit and read or play board games. We were then shown our room which was fantastic, a good sized room which was nicley decorated, a very large bed and very big bathroom, also the view of the Beaulieu river was amazing. There was plenty of very nice Tea and Coffee available along with a complimentary elderflower spirit which was a nice touch.
We had our 3yr old with us and the member of staff said they would move the temporary bed from the room we were going to have to our new room and it will be with us shortly, however shortly afterwards another member of staff arrived and showed us to another room, this one was equally as nice but with the added bonus of a 2nd bedroom for our 3yr old which she loved.
In the evening we opted for a meal in the bar area, rather than the restuarant, again this had a large open fire place and was very cosey, gain the staff were very friendly and the service was good.
The only down side was that my meal ( the homemade pie) was very small, in fact my 3yr olds child meal seemed bigger.
Breakfast was in the Restuarant area with a nice selection of Juices, cereals and Pastries, along with this we had the full english, the ingredients were all top notch, but again was fairly small ( 1 bacon, 1 suasage, 1 egg etc), but again the staff were on hand for extra toast if so required.
All in all we had a very good time and would highly recommend, the rooms, the views, the location were all fantastic, the staff were proffesional, polite and very helpful.
