Lovely and well presented. Just enough to keep a lady interested :) The mono rail was great as were the tea and scones in the restaurant. The interactive activities, were really enjoyed by my husband.

We really enjoyed our visit and were fascinated by the history and information in the museum as well as the vehicles and motorbikes as well as other modes of transport. We enjoyed looking round the house but didn't have time for the guided tour. It was great seeing the various different vehicles used during the Top Gear shows as well. The cafe, while a touch expensive, was also good.

This place has something for everyone - car history of Britain, Beaulieu Palace House and Abbey, and Cars from Favorite Movies and TV shows and Top Gear vehicles. Lovely coffee shop and clean washrooms as well. We visited twice in one week because there is so much to see, it needs more than one day. Well worth the time.

First visit and can honestly say myself and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. A nice relaxed day strolling around the various attractions that you have to offer, with a few stops at the café for tea and cake, absolutely lovely.

We had a fantastic time at Beaulieu! It is a beautiful place with so much to do. Our children aged 7 and 20 months had so much fun. All the guides and staff are so welcoming and knowledgable. We’ll be back!

My family and I come every year. Love this place. My grown up son and partner are true petrol heads and this place ticks so many boxes for them.

Arrived just after 11 am on Friday, left just before 5pm!
Brilliant day for 4 adults.
Started with Top Gear world, then got the monorail to the house, had a quick look round, didnt get to see the Abbey or walk around the Gardens as we headed back to the motor museum, by the old bus! Great Fun!
Went back to Top Gear experience in time for the showing of the changes over the years.
Headed into the Motor Museum! Seeing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was a highlight!- its there until next year!
Great that the ticket allows you to go back in 6 days for free, 1 day just wasnt enough.
We didnt go back the next day as we were staying in Portsmouth- just over an hours drive away.
Great day out and the weather was good too :)

We visited during Autumn half-term on a cold but sunny day. There were plenty of parking spaces and they were only a short walk from the main entrance. We booked our tickets online the evening before in order to save a small amount. As we were staying in a hotel, we couldn't print our tickets off but the young man working the till was very nice and said this wasn't an issue. He was incredibly welcoming and told us about the Halloween pumpkin trail and gave us a map of the venue. My daughters (aged 11 and 6) had never visited Beaulieu before and both enjoyed different aspects. The youngest loved the park and the ride on cars. My eldest took selfies-a-plenty in the Top Gear section to share with her friends! The monorail was a big hit as was the face painting, arts and craft and Halloween trail.
I loved the museum - very nostalgic and interesting and found the staff very friendly. One highlight for me was the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car which reminded me of my childhood and my grandparents who watched the film with me.
We spent around 5 hours there in total and could have easily stayed longer.
In terms of lunch, we took our own but the café seemed very popular and the girls loved the gift shop at the end!!
All in all a great day out.

It sounds like you had a wonderful day in the October sun. Thank you for your lovely review.

It was wonderful to read that your children enjoyed the half-term activities and that our brand new exhibition, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 50 years brought back so many happy memories.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to post your review. We would be delighted to welcome you back to Beaulieu in the future.

We spent near a whole day at Beaulieu which as parents most will though that’s already impressive, one for fact it’s near impossible to keep them entertained and 2 it’s impossible to keep them entertained. My son is 8 and loves cars so this has helped a lot, he loves top gear and the grand tour so the top gear section was brilliant. We did have a young and rude member of staff but I think she was new and a bit Nervous so I’ll let that slide.

we did the very hard quiz for kids aged 9 and above and it is really entertaining. You have see and read a lot of info. Given many national trust and other places we have visited the gift for doing it was very lame he had one of those little bugs with the goggly eyes. Surely a little car wouldn’t have been too hard for them to give.

The restaurant was overpriced I had a beef and horseradish baguette for £5.90 it came with a thimble of coleslaw and about 8 crisps. With only 1 slice of packet beef it was poor. Good tea and
Coffee though so perhaps buy a drink and skip lunch. They had so hot food and have a deli but we took the sandwiches. There was a kids choice which did look ok.

The museum itself was great full of really interesting cars. I would say that the display seems to be the same as my work
Colleagues remembered it from many years ago. Maybe a freshen up with some more cars maybe good?!

On the whole a really good day.

Thank Chris H

We are pleased that you had a great day. Thank you for sharing your review with us.

Our staff pride themselves on fantastic customer service, so it was disappointing to read your comment but we will be sure to pass this on to the Visitor Services Manager for future staff training.

It’s great to hear that your children enjoyed the family quiz trail and that you found the collection of vehicles in the National Motor Museum interesting and informative.

Sorry to hear that the Brabazon Restaurant didn’t meet your expectations. The Restaurant Manager appreciates all feedback from visitors, so we will be sure to share this with him.

Thank you for spending your day with us. We hope you to see you again soon.

A place worth visiting if you are a car person or a petrolhead. Lots of vintage & classic cars & motorcycles under one roof. Make sure you have alotted some time for other attractions within the venue.
