We as a group of three families with young children ate here twice over last weekend as we were all camping at the next-door Red Shoot Camping Park.
Service was excellent and food very tasty. The staff even accommodated our request to host an informal birthday tea for my daughter and her friend yesterday. Super!

We had a lovely meal after a very long and hot bike ride. The area inside for the children was just what we needed.

We ate at the Red Shoot pub and the food was very good, it is all home cooked as opposed to some of the well known large pub chains, the menu does not have a childrens section but there are 2 sizes/prices and the smaller one denotes smaller portions suitable for lighter bites...but the staff there will do things that are not advertised on the menu for children, fish fingers, chicken etc.
We all enjoyed our different meals and the staff were helpful and friendly.
The outside area is also very nice, plenty of benchs and views of the forest.
If you visit during the summer months i would recommend that a table is pre booked as it does get very busy.

Used the pub for two main meals, and daytime coffees (partly for the sake of the free wifi) while camping in the forest. Young staff, very friendly and know what they're doing. Dealt with a problem with one food order courteously, and offered a free pud as a goodwill gesture. The solid niceness of this pub is one of the reasons we've returned to the nearby Red Shoot camping ground four times in the last five years.

Initially thought it would be a bit if a nightmare, party of 16 inc 6 kids. Although wasn't well pint out there was a good till, staff were very attentive, tool both drinks and good orders with prompt service of all good as ordered at the same time. Good quality and very tasty and all on probably busiest day if the year considering the weather so so nice. Well recommended, only down side is a personal one and that I preferred the wadworths to the house brewed pint.
