A lovely setting in the heart of the forest. This was our first time and we liked the menu choice as it had a good selection ranging from four ploughmans options through to the more usual hot and cold choices. A good variety of starters, puddings and beers too.
We ordered two different ploughmans and couldn’t fault them. The ham and cheeses were from neighbouring counties, including good bread, salad, pickle, chutneys (to include an amazing spiced red onion chutney), and the traditional apple.
It’s hard to find this kind of traditional Brit food these days and we’ll be back for more.
