I booked a family size room (2 adults, 3 kids) for a night.
The room was very spacious and clean, the bathroom was he same. So far aol great.

All was going swimmingly well till we all went to sleep. I woke up at 2am to the sound of a pump. This must have been central heating or hot water. Either way it started every 31 seconds (yes, I counted), and lasted for 3 seconds. All through the night. I couldn't get back to sleep.

Never going back.

The White Rabbit is a short walk from the village centre so if you don't want to eat in the pub you have several other good choices nearby. Being a family of 5 very few places cater for us but this is an enormous room which could have additional beds if needed without being crowded. It was only recently refurbished so everything is very new and clean although there's still a couple of bits missing from the bathroom (toothbrush holder but no glass to go in it, and no shelf in the shower) but nothing major. Being a family room I thought a DVD player or games console would be a good idea but for £82 a night perhaps I'm expecting too much ! There was a slight annoyance with the boiler firing up every 20 seconds in the loft above us, which when our youngest woke us at 3am seemed very loud. Room cleaned every day and toiletries replaced. The breakfast was pretty good although you had to constantly ask for things to be replaced. We ate dinner twice for convenience - good varied menu and good kids meals. Very friendly and helpful staff although the food was slow to come out and there's nothing for the kids to do while you wait. All in all we were really impressed with it for the money and would recommend.

Room Tip: We were in Room 1 which has a double bed, a double sofa bed and a single bed

We arrived without a booking and received an excellent welcome. staff showed my wife the room before we registered and could not have been more helpful.
Room was clean & comfortable with a good ensuite.
We took an excellent meal in the resturant and the waiting staff were excellent.
Its nice to stay in an hotel that employs local people. With the pub/resturant as part of the same building you don't need to go searching for either.
Overall it would take some beating on value for money.
We will certainly use it again when in the area.

We chose this hotel as we were visiting Peppa Pig World and needed somewhere close. It was roughly a 10 minute drive so very convenient. The hotel has recently undertaken a refurbishment and it was spotless! Family room was incredibly spacious, particularly the bathroom area. Staff were very helpful and polite. We also chose breakfast at the hotel and the choice was good - £7.50 for a continental and full English breakfast, £5.50 for just continental and £3 for a lighter breakfast such as a bacon sandwich. The lady supervising breakfast was great, making it clear that she wouldn't be charging us for our 2 year old to eat as she wasn't likely to have much. We felt very welcome, even though we had 2 young children in tow! Would definitely recommend.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the White Rabbit, and all I can say is WOW!!!. The rooms are wonderful, but the team are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble, and the Manager Adam went out of his way to be hospitable and accomodating. The team are very responsive to guests needs, and we left feeling pampered and valued. Well done White Rabbit!
