“So much to see and do”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Loved the chance to be out in the fresh air (and it was FRESH) and enjoying the natural world. Lyndhurst is an excellent centre for a base - nothing seemed to be far away. Best day was spent at Bucklers Hard; well worth paying to go into the museum and the weather was lovely for the hour's walk to Beaulieu village. Highcliffe and Sammy Miller's Motorcycle Museum also well worth a visit (even if not into motorbikes!)

“One of the most special places in the UK”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Walking ( spoilt for choice), boating (the new forest has sea on it's southern end and eastern side). Views- although not high ( the highest place is near Fritham - nr. Pipers Wait above Nomansland) are grea if you want to see Cruise ships sailing across the Solent or further along see the Isle of Wight Needles. Lots to do in the Forest and places to visit. Go to the New Forest Visitor Museum in Lyndhurst and visit the Tourist Information.

“The New Forest is a Special Place”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Just the other evening driving home across the Forest saw 6 deer , a fox and a owl. They were roe deer but lately have also been seeing a Muntjac deer grazing by the roadside too. The New Forest is an amazing place. Plenty of places to walk. The sea on the south and East. Lots of places to stay. Hotels, restaurants, Caravan and camping sites. Close to Bournemouth and Southampton. If you've never visited you are missing out.

Lovely scenery even though only early spring Beauty of visiting at this time can get around easily without the crowds. Saw the New Forest ponies plus cattle, pigs and even donkeys. Great for walking and cycling
