We went there recently having found most places close on monday nights around Lyndhurst - wasn't therefore our 1st choice, but we were very pleased we visited. Menu was extremely varied and surprised us with the amount of choice. Food was tasty and was served at a pace that suited us - Indian restaurants often serve you so quickly that you wonder how soon it is over. It was therefore nice to eat at a relaxed pace. Will definitely go back when we stay down in the New Forest again.

Walked in after seeing the restaurant during the day and my girlfriend and I thought we'd give it a go.

The service and presentation were good, however we did feel that they were let down by the food. Our mains were both on the salty side, with the salt being the overpowering flavour more than any other. I had a chicken tikka masala, and she had a seafood dish.

Than starters and sides however were up to par, very tasty!

We had made a reservation, and we were glad we did because it was a very busy saturday. Our seats were located next to the bar, which was also the takeaway and thus quite noisy because the phone continuesly rang and there were people waiting. After a while we got some papadoms whith very nice raita. We had to wait quite long (+30 min) 'till we got our starters and the waiter said that there was some kitchen trouble, he even had to send people away. Anyways, the food was great and we had a lovely time though we had to wait quite long and the decor was a little bit sterile. For great food go to the curry leaf but for great service and a nice ambiance go to the passage to india.
