If you want sunday lunch you are probably going to have to book to get a table. [--]. The food is always good. They have a daily specials board for main courses and puds and you are spoilt for choice. The prices are reasonable. In the summer you can sit out in a large garden. Cant recommend it highly enough. I've eaten there numerous times and never been disappointed.

Just had a Sunday lunch there which was very disappointing. Roasts were tougher than old boots and the meat tasted like beef slices you buy from lidls. Really nice place for a drink bit not to eat. None of their menu says homemade which tells a story. Shame

This pub has one of those menus which go on for days but have nothing out of the ordinary. You know it's all whipped out of the freezer and thrown into the microwave. So I was surprised it took over 45 minutes for our order to arrive.
The decor is terrible, overly busy with no coherant theme. Staff were pleasant but as I say, the service was extremely slow and it took over 20 minutes before i was told my first choice was unavailable. The only reason we hung on was because we were starving. Which is also the only reason we ate what arrived, very low standard, especially the roast potatoes which were soggy and leathery at the same time.
Perhaps this is a good place to eat if you have children. There is a large garden with a huge climbing frame and the pub seemed quite child friendly, Otherwise I would avoid.

This was recommended to us as a good pub for kids as there is a play area. The play area is indeed good but it needs to be if your young children have to wait an hour for their food. When I placed my order she said "there may be a wait but it's not too bad today" so this clearly is not an unusual situation. No apologies for long wait when food arrived either.
Lovely location, food was average pub fair, great play fort but won't go back as it does not seem to be able to cope with the custom they generate.
