Only just got round to using Tripadvisor but had to leave a review for The Three Lions though it is a little while since we both stayed here (long weekend) and dined around five or six times once bringing my parents.
Food was delicious and could not fault anything between us we covered most of the menu, its time we made a return.

Just returned from a two day trip to the Three Lions in heart of New Forest. Had fabulous time, food was top class, 5* - had opportunity to try all sorts, duck, venison, truffle, a multitude of seafood... spoiled for choice...

Besides food being excellent, on arrival had warm welcome from hosts and accommodation was perfect for weekend break away set on several acres of well manicured land where you can relax - or enjoy sauna/hot tub experience.

ideal venue for getting away from the rat race, chilling, switching off and taking in Hampshire's country air

We were taken for a celebration meal, The choice of dishes was great leaving it hard to choose. The food was great with a wide choice of wine to pick for each course. Lovely setting with a very relaxed atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. Overall a very enjoyable celebration

Our favourite local restaurant. As always we went at lunchtime and met up with our friends over a drink, with complimentary nuts and olives. We ordered from the fixed price menu. A good choice of dishes is shown on the blackboard menu and Jane the owner is always ready to explain each dish for those wanting help with their choice. As always the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Over the years we have sampled many of the dishes and have never been let down.
Accompanying all starters are slices of lovely homemade bread made by Jane that morning. Not to be missed.
We always arrange to have coffee in the conservatory where you can spend as much time as you like chatting.
We strongly recommend this restaurant. The prices are reasonable for such excellent food and we have paid a similar amount at a local pub. We suggest you reserve a table, as this restaurant appears to be becoming more and more popular.

I am so pleased that we chose to have lunch here. I was going to say that they certainly know how to cook but that just wouldn't be enough. There is art here and above all else the expertise gained of years of experience. With a friendly atmosphere, excellent service, good wine list and a well thought out and designed menu, it ticks all the boxes.

My main course of turbot was delightful. The fish, obviously fresh, was perfectly cooked and, (this is where the expertise of the chef comes in) was in danger of being eclipsed by the astounding sauce. How on earth can you get that much flavour in a sauce with such a light consistency? I opted for the cheese as the desert and this was very good as well. Ripe and at room temperature. All of this washed down with a splendid bottle of white Rully.

So, a faultless dining experience which I would fully commend to anyone. My only regret was that I didn't have a starter.
