The title really says it all.

This was our third visit. On each occasion the food was extremely good but on only the second visit was the service adequate. On the first occasion we had a very good waitress who was hopelessly overstretched by the number of tables she had to wait on. This demonstrates poor management. Last night we had a waitress who was pleasant but very much needed the supervision of someone more experienced. After ordering our aperitifs she removed our wine glasses without asking if we were going to drink wine with dinner (we were). We had to ask for a wine list. We had to ask for more wine glasses when we switched from white to red wine. For the last hour of our dinner we were the only diners yet we received no attention, the waitress busying herself laying tables for the next day, and had to call the waitress over from the bar to ask for the bill.

It's a shame that the mangers of the restaurant don't realise that potential customers will simply go elsewhere if the service in their restaurant is poor.

We have eaten at 2 of the other pubs run by this Company and were delighted to learn that we now have one much closer to home. We have visited twice and on both occasions the food and service were excellent. The menu allows something for everyone. Our party of six really enjoyed our Sunday lunch - the roast looked amazing - as were the other dishes from the main menu. The Poacher Inn is well worth a visit.

We stopped here on the way back from blackbushe market, a random choice but wow.what a choice..when we wlaked in we were welcomed by the baramn, the decor very upmarket and we felt a little underdressed, but we were treated very well all the staff polite and attentive. We ordered 2 raosts (specials of the day). I can honestly say that it was the best roast dinner i have ever eaten out (obviously my partners roasts are the best!). We both really enjoyed our meals and although slightly more expensive (£12) than your avewrage pub it was worth every penny, Will definately be returning.

This establishment is well worth a visit,
It is a venue for an occasion that is to be celebrated
the tables are well spaced , and the decoration is very modern , but pleasing
The menu offered a few variations on the normal
and the food presentations were innovative
Portions sizes allowed three courses to be enjoyed
The venue had a pleasant ambiance
Staff were bright , cheerful and attentive, and were a credit to the restaurant
although the correct calculation of the bill did take three attempts...
All in all a very pleasant experience

I have popped in for a drink on my way home many times but never eaten. Today my wife a I called in for lunch and have to say we thoroughly enjoyed it. Great home
made soup, beautifully cooked scallops and for main the chicken penne was lovely as was the duck wrap. The French Frys are to die for. This was something of a test and so we will be back for a try of the evening fare. Well done Poacher!
