Thought would visit tonight, as normally service very good, & excellent value for money, upon arrival we were greeted by the manager? Asked what we would like to drink & if we were eating, sat down at a table & was promptly asked our drinks order, which arrived shortly afterwards, as i hadnt decided what i was eating, i ventured over to the specials boar & returned to my table, the girl who served our drinks was was walking around, & after about 10 minutes managed to grab her attention, she took my order, i noticed most the staff were standing around chatting including the manager? All but one young blonde girl, who was rushed off her feet? My meal arrived & at best was warm, not hot, i noticed the table opposite returned one meal, i decided against better judgement to order a dessert, after holding the menu for at least 20 minutes, i eventualy grabbed the managers attention & took my order, the chocolate sunde was dissapointing, as there was little chocolate icecream? I have been to the Sun many times, & have never left feeling so dissapointed

OH and me had a fabulous dinner at the Sun Inn. We both love eating steaks and we were not disappointed. Eating steak can be a daunting experience here in UK (most of the times the meat you get in restaurants and pubs are as thin as the sole of a dolly shoe), but the Sun Inn served us very good quality and tasty food, nice thick cut and huge portion. I think the food we had was excellent value for money and we will definitely return. Great dining experience, without the need of splashing a ridiculous amount of cash, really happy we went :)

Good American food with large portions. Made to feel very welcome by the owners and I thought the price was very reasonable.

I visited the restaurant last Friday at 6pm with 3 adults and 2 children under 7. We were made to feel very welcome, not rushed at all and certainly not pestered to buy drinks. The food portions were large and tasty. Exactly what you would expect from steakhouse. Our youngest child fell asleep before his dinner arrived and so the waitress kindly made up a take-out parcel. (Not that service was slow, the children had been to Peppa Pig World and were shattered). By the time we left at about 8pm all the tables were taken. There is a car park around the back of the pub and you can enter via the garden.

Visited on a Monday night, the only people in the place were the owners and 3 people at the bar having a drink, I was the only person eating and perhaps this should have been a warning.

Ordered a 'golden gate' burger; for a pub, the prices are a bit high, £9.25 for a burger and fries you certainly expect something decent. Presentation was fine, fries served in a novelty mini-fryer basket all on a modern rectangular plate; its just a shame the burger was so bad.

The bun had freezer burn, theres no excuse for this when theres a local bakery just a few minutes walk away. But worse, the burger was so low quality that it was filled with bone fragments and gristle. If you find yourself being out-done by a 2am kebab house that caters to drunks, you should hang your head in shame.
