“Magnificent - essential place for any interested in horticulture.”

Id never been here before , but will certainly be back. This is simply one of the best gardens in the UK. Magnificently set out, all plants clearly labelled and imaginatively planted. Signage and access both very good. Clearly some visionary planning is going on, the Centenary Border will be superb later in the summer. An excellent touch was the display of flowering material from plants around the garden in one of the education rooms. The handout on plants of current interest very useful to visitors. Cafe and shop pretty good, not too expensive compared to Wakehurst or Wisley. Also a well-stocked (if not cheap) garden centre next door.

in summary, a great garden, very well-managed and full of interest.

“Wonderful Winter Garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

Visited with a friend just before Christmas. Not much in the Millennium Border but you can see how wonderful this is going to look later in the year. The winter garden is well worth a visit and the Gurkha Garden and the lake are nice at any time of the year. There is wheelchair access and often events going on for children. A nice restaurant for a cup of tea or coffee afterwards and very good shop and nursery.

“Green fingers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

This is our favourite "back garden" and we come at least 4 times a year (we like to see it through the seasons). There is always something new going on in the garden and the new Centenary Walk is a terrific improvement on what was an excellent section of garden anyway. Well worth a visit

“Worth travelling to ...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

Excellent, personal service. I bought a surprise tree for my husband and this was ordered, delivered and planted without any problems, following advice from the centre manager who couldn't have been more helpful. The plants and trees are very high quality compared with other nurseries, and displayed so that you can see and understand which plants go well together. Staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. Cafe and art gallery worth a look, as are the gardens. Not our closest garden centre, but our favourite.
