“Smaller than expected.”

Thought it would be much larger, the tomb of Lord Mountatten is worth the visit, tho you can accidently miss it.!! has alot of history to it, but as said earlier, just thought it would be more grand.

“Absolutely glorious”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

This has to be one of the most beautiful churches I've ever visited; there's plenty of information on its long and interesting history, but displayed in a way which adds to the beauty rather than detracting from it. It's also incredibly peaceful: there was a group being given a guided tour when we visited but, except when you were standing right behind them, you would never have guessed there was anyone else in the building. The people supervising were mostly very friendly and happy to answer any questions. There is no charge for entry but, like many churches, they rely on donations to run the place: in my opinion, they deserve every penny! I'd go back tomorrow, and probably every day if I lived closer.

Lovely serene Abbey full of history and character .Lots of history and interesting things to look at . It is also the last resting placeof Lord Mountbatten of Burma. It was his local place of worship as he lived in nearby Broadlands.

“Romsey Abbey”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

I used to work in Romsey and often visit the town but I hadn't been to the Abbey for a few years till I went with a friend last year. The Abbey is very imposing and the interior has a sense of calm and peace which I used to really enjoy when I was working and sat there for a while during my lunch breaks before going back to the office.
