Stayed here for two nights as a nice break for me and the other half. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the owners were lovely. They couldnt be more helpful and made us feel at home. The location is very pleasant and has a lovely farm feel about it!! The food was delicious and plentiful and freshly cooked by the owners.

Will most certainly return if im in this area again!!

I had a pleasant room in the main building - there is also an annex. The Dairy is well located near Southampton. Winchester Eastleigh etc for business purposes but is very rural in the circumstances. In fact the Hillier Arboretum - superb - is just up the road for those with time to spare. The room was very comfortable, well furnished and well equipped and I wanted for nothing. A cooked breakfast was extra [though I wasn't told that at booking] but no matter there was a huge spread of almost every conceivable cold dish imaginable. The quality was excellent too and the meal was absolutely first class.
I would certainly stay here again - the only snag is that it might get too popular if everyone finds out about it.

We needed a place for the night rather than make two trips up and down to Bath over one weekend and found the Dairy via this site. We know the Southampton area pretty well but Toothil was new to us and surprisingly rural in the circumstances.

We arrived late in the day to be met by Chrissy who showed us to the Ayrshire Suite close to the main house. An interesting design, comprising a very large room in modern style with one wall completely glazed overlooking the courtyard but screened and glazed doors to the back leading out on to a amall veranda overlooking the Garden, jacuzzi and swimming pool. We speculated over whether this was designed as accomodation or for some other use. Off the main room where there was a huge double bed, sofa tables etc and a Fridge, microwave and tea making facilities was a "dressing room" with a central heating boiler and wardrobe leading in to a very well equipped shower room.

All spotlessly clean and the sofa very inviting to sit down to watch the HD TV and /or audio. We ate out in the evening had a good nights sleep.

Breakfast was taken in the main house just a step or two from the Suite and a good Standard Breakfast without trying the cooked breakfast available at additional cost details of which were advised on booking. A good selection for every taste.

An enjoyable stay, comfortable but a little spoiled by the heavy rain that awaited us as we awoke in the morning. Mein Hosts were welcoming and interesting to chat to over breakfast and we were one of 3 couples staying the night. While we benefited from a discounted rate available for the time of year and the room and breakfast were good - we did find it strange that ther was an additional cost for a cooked breakfast which - whatever the price we would have expected to be included although we would not have taken advantage of it ourselves. Certainly the Ayrshire suite would be a useful base for several days spent in the area.

Quietly set amongst fields and woods, The Dairy is still very handy for the M27 and Romsey. As you drive in past the horses stabled across the yard, you are likely to receive a warm welcome from Bertie, the resident Spaniel, who will enjoy playing with your dog in the grounds.

Chrissie showed us to our room, which was spotless, spacious, modern and very comfortable. The usual tea and coffee facilities were extended to include a microwave oven and a refrigerator, so a bit of self-catering would be easy, especially as there was a dining table and chairs. The huge sofa and television completed the package nicely. We didn't use the hot tub or the open-air swimming pool.

Mike gave us suggestions for several local eateries, at reasonable prices, and we were not disappointed.

If you need a cooked breakfast you should order it the evening before, but there are eggs you can boil yourself in the dining room. The choice provided by the buffet was as wide as we have seen anywhere, and it is so beautifully presented that breakfast at The Dairy is "a delightful experience".

Really too god to let others know about this place. Mike and Chrissi have a delightful setting and ambiance for a B & B....but really it is much more than this. This is the fourth year I have stayed with them and I always have a room (with four poster bed) in the Dairy annexe. This consists of two individual en suite rooms which share a common lounge, which apart from fridge etc., has a snooker table. A really nice place to relax and use as a base to explore the surrounding area...and during hot weather have a dip in the pool. Hotel quality at B & B price :-)

Room Tip: If there is a family want two rooms...book the Diary Annexe has you will have wonderful self contain...

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 children (7 & 2) at the end of August while visiting Peppa Pig World and heading on to the Isle of Wight. We stayed in the family room which is very large, plenty of space for a family. The bed was so comfy, and the bathroom just great. The huge shower was lovely!

The kids loved the dog and horses, we enjoyed the breakfast, just a shame we didn't stay longer!

Just a little tip..... we got a better deal booking direct with the Dairy than the prices online, so it's worth a call!

I could not fault Mike and Crissi for their hospitality, the room was lovely, the breakfast generous and being on my own, they made my stay really comfortable and welcoming. I dont know where else you would find for such a reasonable price: a hotel quality room and ensuite, excellent breakfast, pool and hottub in such a pretty location. My annual ritual will be to head down there and use this as a base to explore the New Forest and surrounding areas. Thanks!
