7 Course taster menu .... should really make some clever sounding comments about the "well constructed menu" "thoughtful culinary journey" "high quality ingredients" etc ..... but ..... I won't do that ..
We were welcomed like members of the family into a cosy yet spacious room. Elegant understatement, I suppose you'd say. Appetisers quickly brought to the table to fend off the saliva promoting smells from the kitchen and other tables. A most delicious haddock dip with fresh bread sticks, olives and bits. Anyway, forget the detail .... this was a fabulous lunch, course after course of beautifully presented perfectly cooked food, variety of ingredient, technique, everything you'd expect from a renowned and celebrated chef ... but there was a high point, a dish that took me back too many years to mention to my childhood and to a particular moment in a particular meal when father was clearing the remnants of the roast and mother was serving the pudding, a combination of rich fragrances, tastes and visions .... don't want to say which course it was ... try it for your self. Time and money well spent, an excellent place to eat drink and be merry. Uncommonly pleasurable in this day and age to be made to feel so special from start to finish. Thank you Jake and the JSW team.
