We came here on 1 March 2014. We had dinner in the restaurant at the back of the pub, and were unfortunately given a table right next to the party table which is on raise platform - unfortunate because they were very noisy and we were right below them. Luckily the few loud ones didn't talk with their mouths full so it was a bit quieter after their food was served. My buffalo tomatoes and mozzarella, basil pie was lovely, but my partners chicken and ham pie was low on meet, and the pastry top was a solid brown disk of something too hard to cut. Otherwise very good. Beer is superb and one of the main feature of this pub that make it so famous.
We didn't experience any of the unpleasant staff mentioned in the earlier reviews, so perhaps that have all gone now. Our waitress was perfect.
