We had lunch here while Christmas shopping. A little difficult to manoeuvre into the chairs as the table legs get in the way, but possible with some juggling of the tables. We had the Ploughman's and the food was very good - a big chunk of fresh bread, cheese and the usual ploughman's accompaniments. All washed down with a big pot of tea. Reasonably priced. Service was adequate.

Had been here before with my mum and had a great meal, so when she said she had booked us to eat there again, was pleased but a little apprehensive as we had 2 year old granddaughter with us (Mum's great granddaughter and the first time they had met). I don't know why we were worried, the staff were lovely and very friendly and put up with "Laa Laa" being said every minute. Look forward to our next visit to Petersfield and Monoloco. We can definitely recommend the ham, eggs and chips and toasted sandwiches and Sophie says the jacket potatoes are "Mmmmmm"!

A wonderful little cafe situated in a little courtyard off the high street, this is a perfect spot for a classic lunch. Great quality food with all the favourite dishes available, jacket potatoes, lasagne and toasties to mention just a few. There is also a wide selection of gluten free options. The coffees and teas are abundant as are the yummy selection of cakes! If you feel like something a little more romantic come here for dinner one night. The steaks are served on hot lava stones and customers can choose how well done they want their meat to be! The candle lit restaurant is cosy and friendly, with fabulous staff especially Phoebe, the most lovely waitress I have ever met. I would highly recommend this terrific place.

A few weeks ago Trip Advisor said you were open all day, but when I tried to get lunch at 2:30 you said you were closed. So I wrote a review complaining about this, and you changed your opening hours to say you were closed between 4pm to 6pm which is what it shows now. So today I try and get lunch at 2:20pm and again you say you can’t feed me - kitchen closes as 2pm.

Why oh why can’t you give us correct information?

Thank Maurice S

We had coffee here on a weekday morning. The alleyway up to the cafe had one or two other shops and then opened out into a larger area with seating for the cafe's customers. This was a lovely spot to while away half an hour - the coffee was good as was the service.
