I went here on Saturday night for dinner with my partner. It was recommended to him by his work colleagues and he has had lunch here a few times. It was fine, we arrived slightly late but this wasn't a problem and we were shown to our seats. The ceilings are really low but that's ok, it adds to the atmosphere.
The service is chaotic, we had 3 different waitresses. The girl who took our order was really grumpy but we all have bad days. I had the fish and chips and my partner had the 1/2 lobster. The food was ok, but certainly not what we were expecting. The portions are small, and the selection is strange. Fish and Chips on an evening menu? And it wasn't gourmet fish and chips, it was just normal fish and chips. Anyway we had one desert, the cheesecake which was powdery and dry with weird bits of orange peel in it.....not sure what it was supposed to be! The wine was lovely though! All in all, its ok but not amazing.
