A Days Inn on a motorway services site, says it all really. Unless you know the secret way off the site (it's the road with the 'No Entry' sign just past the fuel area) you'll have to drive via the M3 to get in to Fleet, Farnham or anywhere else for a decent meal.

That said if you just want somewhere to sleep and break a journey it's fine.

We stopped in on the way back from London and I was very impressed with the room. Very clean with good disabled facility's. My only complaint is that even though the hotel was very quiet not very many guests we could only have two single beds downstairs and no lift so that we had to sleep in separate beds. But it was only for one night wouldn't have liked it for two many though. Apart from that the room was big with a big bathroom you could turn a wheelchair around in easily. And our room was the very first one so not two far for my other half to get there. Will defiantly stay there again.

Have stayed in this, and other Days Inns on motorway services before. All the service area facilities are on hand and it is an easy get away on the road next morning. Compared with Premier Inns or similar in the area, very well priced

The room was OK, (if a little odd smelling and the carpet had not been hovered), however what put a real downer on things was the fact that despite parking in the hotel's own car park, my girlfriend was told that because she hadn't put her registration into the database within 2 hours of arrival, she would automatically be sent a fine in the post. The fact that she had registered during her stay, and no time limit was mentioned on the signs in the hotel car park, was irrelevant. The receptionist did not inform her of this rule when she arrived, and I was under the impression that the 2 hour rule only applied if you had parked in the main Welcome Break car park, as I had done. What kind of crazy system is this? The reception was not always manned anyway. If these fines really must be used, at least have a system in place where they can be stopped in these circumstances. I arrived at midday, and was told the room was not yet ready so I had lunch and a shop in the services, it's only by chance that I booked in within the 2 hours. We were informed that the hotel could override the fine once it came through in the post, I certainly hope this is the case. It's a worry that you don't want when you're trying to enjoy a weekend break.

Stayed here with my daughters for one night, first impressions were good reception was clean and receptionist helpful. We were then given keys to room which was supposed to be a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Double bed ok but sofa bed well it was unsleepable had a big gap in the middle and there is no way two 15yr old could sleep on it, One daughter end up sleeping with me in the bed and the other daughter slept across the bed with her legs dangling off to stop her falling down the big hole. No sheets were given for this bed so had to go and ask for them at reception. All in all hotel is clean but very basic.

My main complaint is that despite the room being marked as 'non-smoking', the room smelt very strongly of cigarettes and there were several tell-tale burn marks on the bathroom lino which suggests the policy is not enforced. We had to sleep with the window open (on a chilly night). In general the room was clean but felt past it's sell by date. I'm sure it was sparklingly clean and modern when first built and although the room/hotel was by no means awful, if just felt a bit tired: holes in the wall which had been filled up with plaster/putty (perhaps where the old radiator was located?), not the cleanest grout in the bathroom and bits of rust on the towel rail and fittings along with the aforementioned burns in the lino. Plus a drippy tap. If you have heavy luggage, ask for the ground floor as there is no lift to the upstairs. On the plus side, there were plenty of extra pillows and towels (I have found these to be a bit lacking in other chain hotels), the room was very spacious and there is free in-room Wi-Fi! Useful location, situated in a service station on the motorway (easy to hit the road in the morning) and there is a 24hour Starbucks within the services.

Room Tip: If you have heavy luggage, ask for the ground floor as there is no lift to the upstairs.

Hotel was ok for the money, clean and accepts dogs.

Parking Eye have sent me threatening letters, staff at the hotel said they would pass on details to parking eye that I had parked and registered correctly, no confirmation was forthcoming.

Parking Eye are pursuing me through the court.

Welcome break head office appear very familiar with this. Refused to issue confirmation to me and hung up the phone.

Has anyone else had this experience? These people need to be stopped.

Room Tip: Avoid Parking eye will fine you
