This is the only time I have ever had to complain about a Premier Inn & adjoining resturant. As usual with PI the room was comfortable and clean, however, there was construction working going on and this meant that the fire exit door near our room was propped open - we did feel a little unsure as to the security of our items left in the room. Also there were a large group of young adults hanging around in the car park that evening making a great deal of noise - which no-one from the hotel did anything about - was advised that they part of a group eating in the resturant. However, things went down hill after visiting the 'feeding trough' next door - cannot use the word resturant as these reviews are to be truthfull. We had booked but even when we arrived no table was ready for us and as soon as they saw we had 2 small children we were immediately ushered into a side room (no-one else in there) and informed someone would be with us shortly. 20 mins later someone arrived(possibly a manager as in shirt/tie - no uniform but he had no ID badge to identify himself.) Gave us a handful of menus (no childrens though) took a drink order and wondered off. Had to chase drinks after 15 mins. The food came altogether but some of the dishes were luke warm so obviously had been left to stand whilst rest of order cooked or perhaps they only wanted to make 1 trip to this isolated corner of the resturant. My wife decided against dessert for herself and the children as she couldn't be bothered to wait to order or wait any longer. The rest of us decided to chance it and order another round of drinks - shouldn't have - it would have been quicker to leave the place and go directly to the bar instead. Everything just took too long and on-one was in any hurry to sort it out. And there was no soap in the toilets - a problem that was still existing when we went for breakfast the following morning!!!!!! That night we asked the receptionist if she could recommend anywhere to eat - she said the resturant (assured her that we would not be eating there at night ever) the best she could think of was a burger chain - I have never eaten in such a place and was offended to think just because we had children, thats where we wanted to go.

Premier Inn (in their defence) did refund the cost of the rooms under their good night sleep policy but I didn't receive any comeback on the food side of things.

This was our first stay at a Premier Inn and we were very impressed with this one. First if all, ignore your sat nav, which takes you on a dead end slip road! Carry on the main road to the roundabout to the entrance. At check in we had a very warm welcome from Receptionist Claire.
Our room (50) was at the front overlooking the car park, but set well back from the road so it was quiet. The room was immaculate, in fact the whole hotel looked very clean. It had everything we needed and we were given the impression that Premier Inn really care about your stay. The towels were a good size and were fluffy. We like soft beds and the bed was slightly firmer than we would choose, but it wasn't hard. We slept well here. Our absolutely only criticism, if we have to find something to criticise, was that the soap in the bathroom was liquid soap and we prefer the real thing, but it was not a problem. Next time we will take our own. The next morning, the chambermaid was very friendly and seemed interested that we had enjoyed our stay. Also the male staff member working overnight was very friendly and smiley. And Claire was able to give us good directions to the places we wanted to visit. Well done to the staff here. If all Premier Inns are this good, we will be visiting them more often.

As always, basic, clean and great value for money. Friendly staff, good, simple pub for food and drink next door. Safe and secure. Would recommend. Lovely brekkie. Rooms are air con, cool, dust free with good tea and coffee facilities.

Room Tip: Be nice, grumpy people get the crappie rooms!

Normal good standards, stayed three nights but very busy , bank holiday, somewhat noisy due to kids running up and down stairs late at night early morning so not best nights sleep, but not really hotels fault. Food in restaurant fair value for money. All staff very good would stay again.

Needed a good nights sleep and had an early start - all achieved. Clean, comfortable bed and pillow choice was good. Attached restaurant not my preference, however I arrived late was tired and hungry so served purpose. Wouldn't want to eat there 3 nights on trot but nothing wrong with it. Will stay in a premier inn again, when on a budget & limited time.

We appreciate the fact that when we book a Premier Inn we can expect the same high standard whichever one we stay in: friendly staff, efficient check-in, a clean room with everything we need such as a kettle, tea and coffee, full length mirror, hair dryer, plenty of hanging space, modern tv with freeview. The only thing we could have done with is a second easy chair. It seems that all rooms in Premier Inns only have one easy chair which is a shame as we both often want to sit down comfortably and relax for a while after a tiring day and before going out for a meal, after all these are double rooms! I always find the beds in the Premier Inns too hard and, unfortunately, I didn't get a good night's sleep due to that. This is obviously a very individual matter as my husband finds the beds ok. The hotel was very quiet. The evening meal menu at the Brewers Fayre restaurant next door didn't appeal (it's not as good as it used to be) so we went elsewhere but had the continental breakfast there and we can't fault this. Car parking was no problem. We will certainly stay at a Premier Inn again.

Our family stayed 2 nights over the Easter holidays. We used this as a base to travel to Legoland, Chessington World of Adventure and Thorpe Park ( all between 30-40 mins away ). The rooms were very clean, the staff friendly and the hotel was quite ensuring a good nights sleep after long, busy days. Just what we expected, would use this Premier Inn again.
