This is the only time I have ever had to complain about a Premier Inn & adjoining resturant. As usual with PI the room was comfortable and clean, however, there was construction working going on and this meant that the fire exit door near our room was propped open - we did feel a little unsure as to the security of our items left in the room. Also there were a large group of young adults hanging around in the car park that evening making a great deal of noise - which no-one from the hotel did anything about - was advised that they part of a group eating in the resturant. However, things went down hill after visiting the 'feeding trough' next door - cannot use the word resturant as these reviews are to be truthfull. We had booked but even when we arrived no table was ready for us and as soon as they saw we had 2 small children we were immediately ushered into a side room (no-one else in there) and informed someone would be with us shortly. 20 mins later someone arrived(possibly a manager as in shirt/tie - no uniform but he had no ID badge to identify himself.) Gave us a handful of menus (no childrens though) took a drink order and wondered off. Had to chase drinks after 15 mins. The food came altogether but some of the dishes were luke warm so obviously had been left to stand whilst rest of order cooked or perhaps they only wanted to make 1 trip to this isolated corner of the resturant. My wife decided against dessert for herself and the children as she couldn't be bothered to wait to order or wait any longer. The rest of us decided to chance it and order another round of drinks - shouldn't have - it would have been quicker to leave the place and go directly to the bar instead. Everything just took too long and on-one was in any hurry to sort it out. And there was no soap in the toilets - a problem that was still existing when we went for breakfast the following morning!!!!!! That night we asked the receptionist if she could recommend anywhere to eat - she said the resturant (assured her that we would not be eating there at night ever) the best she could think of was a burger chain - I have never eaten in such a place and was offended to think just because we had children, thats where we wanted to go.
Premier Inn (in their defence) did refund the cost of the rooms under their good night sleep policy but I didn't receive any comeback on the food side of things.
