Description: Good Beer and Simple Food with fresh ingredients... The Plough & Horses is a traditional local pub situated in the village of Cove just 4 miles from Farnborough. Whilst the pub has a lively atmosphere, the low ceilings and open fire (during the colder months) also bring about a cosy feel to the pub. Food from our varied menu, which is popular with diners of all ages, is prepared from fresh ingredients every day and served in our family friendly restaurant dining area, the garden or the bar area, wherever you are most comfortable! If beer is your tipple then there is a good selection available from the bar which also offers a range of lagers, wines and soft drinks to cater for all preferences, including tea or coffee should this take your fancy. Sporting events are shown regularly in our bar area so why not come along and watch your favourite match on the big screen with a pint! Free Wi-Fi communication is available throughout the pub........Or you could just TALK to each other! The Plough & Horses is an attractive brick built building and is one of the oldest pubs in the area.....Why not come take a look. In the summer many customers are attracted to our large beer garden where food and drinks are served in a secluded and family friendly environment. Dogs are welcome throughout the pub provided they are kept under control at all times. Our friendly staff and regulars look forward to seeing new faces and await your visit!

“Fantastic home made food at very reasonable prices and great portions”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

8 of us booked to have lunch here on the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed.

A great selection of dishes on the menu so there is something for everyone.

Beef burgers were home made and very tasty, along with the fish lasagne, shepherd's pie.

I had Lamb Shank and it was the biggest one I have ever had. Also at £9.95 you would not get that anywhere else at that price.

Good food and great prices and portions. Forget the Harvester down the road come here for your food..

“good pub grub”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

Went in a family group of 6. Booking not necessary and staff were very helpful. Dishes were large, even the childrens. Quality was a bit uneven. I really liked the "hunters chicken" but couldn't finish it. The special "fish pie" was not that good apparently (the creamy part was actually cheese rather than cream} nor was the Risotto ("a bit bland"). The other meals were good or better. Prices and choice were good.

The pub side got very busy. A popular hangout!

“Excellent atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

This is our favourite pub - the landlord is extremely friendly and welcoming and is a great manager. There is always a fantastic atmosphere with plenty of things going on to keep everybody entertained. Well behaved dogs are welcome, which we love as our labradoodle likes to accompany us on occasions. A great bonus for me is that they serve a varied vegetarian menu. I cannot recommend this pub enough - you will not be disappointed.

“Lovely food and friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

I've been going to the Plough and Horses for years now, the food has always been good but recently it's been superb. The specials board is always changing and full of lovely dishes. Everything's homemade which isn't common for many pubs. The chef is fab. The staff are all friendly and really nice and brilliant with my 1 year old son when he comes with us. This pub has a lovely homely feel to it, very highly recommended!
