Great restaurant, brilliant food. Very tasty, can tell it has been freshly cooke, tastes homemade and full of flavour. Service normally really good, but can be a bit slow if it is busy, as expected. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

If you want to eat Asian food with a real twist on flavours and spices, then get along to this place.
The service is spot on, the food is great and the price is reasonable.
Outstanding place.

All in all another good visit to the gurkha palace. Friendly staff, great food and a good atmosphere. I've been a number of times when i've visited Farnborough and i can't say i can fault this place.
Give it a try, The Staff Curry is a must if you like lamb dishes!

Tried this place on the strength of the reviews - what a disappointment!

I did wonder if I was in the same restaurant as most of the other reviewers seem to rave about it. Arrived at 8pm on Fri and was seated downstairs in the main part of the restaurant. It was busy but not full. Seems to be busier earlier as most of the tables were empty by 9:30pm. The decor is dated with very bright lights so don't expect a romantic evening. However, It's the food that really lets it down, bland condominents with poppadoms, chutney appeared to have colouring, lamb that was tough as old boots, monkfish that was way overcooked so was really tough. The only positive thing to say was that the service was good.

i won't be going back.

I went to this restaurant given so many positive reviews and so was probably expecting a lot. The ambience is OK down stairs but a bit dated upstairs where I was seated. The orders were taken fairly quickly and the food too arrived in good time but I have to be honest in saying that it was OK food and nothing out-of-the-world.
Expected a bit more I suppose. The service was great though.
I personally may not go there again. But that's just me.
