“Best in the area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2012

My wife, family, friends and I have used the Imperial Garden as a safe bet on a number of occasions when we wanted to enjoy a pleasant environment, good good at reasonable prices, and staff who understand the English sense of humour (not always the case in Chinese restaurants, but essential when dealing with me!)
The fixed price menus start from around £14 for a complete meal, and there are vegetarian and other options on the fixed price and the a la carte menus.
We have never been disappointed at the Imperial Garden, whether visiting for a quiet meal for two, a surprise party for ten on my wife's birthday, or when entertaining friends visiting the area. The takeaway service is equally good.
There is free parking adjacent, easy access for those with a disability, and the staff are invariably pleasant.
In the daytime it becomes a traditional village coffee shop, then closes for a couple of hours from four each afternoon to transform itself into a silver service/white tablecloths venue.
See you there!

Just picked up a take-out from this restaurant. Really pleasant staff, good value nice food. Can't wait to get a baby sitter to take the missus there for a sit down meal.

“This is my new favourite restaurant!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2012

What a find! A cafe restaurant that caters for every need. We ate Chinese for Sunday Lunch, the owner was so helpful when choosing the dishes. Three eating, we had ribs and spring rolls; followed by sizzling Scallops in a black bean sauce; special fried rice; fried plain noodles; beef; and the most amazing salt and chilli squid served in a homemade noodle basket. It was all amazing! Other diners were eating british sunday lunch or having coffees and cafe snacks. It was surreal.
Preparations were underway for a week of celebrations for the Chinese New Year, I so wish we lived nearer.
Thank goodness my Godson recommended this restaurant because you wouldn't give it a second glance without inside knowledge.
Try it tomorrow, you won't be disappointed!
