This hotel is on a beautiful property in a pastoral setting. The service is worthy of the Four Seasons brand.

My only suggestion is to arrive via personal auto if you can. Getting from the train station in Hook can be a challenge if a taxi does not happen to be awaiting at the train station.

Always great service from staff in an immaculate facility.
Dining and restaurant facilities generally excellent.

Outside lunch at the staff suggestion on a really sunny day overlooking fabulous country views
I tried the clay shoot which although expensive was well presented and great fun.

In an Incredibly pretty location the Four Seasons is perched upon a small hill accessed via a long driveway. The arrival at the hotel is spectacular and from this point onwards the staff do their uppermost to pamper to your every need.

I have not stayed in this hotel but have twice indulged in their 'Champagne Tea' taken in the comfortable and elegant library. Do not plan an evening meal! Delicious finger sandwiches with imaginative fillings, scones that would blow away if you ate them outside (served of course with clotted cream and jams) and bite sized cakes. There is a choice of teas, I could recommend the Queen's Jubilee blend. We started with a glass of excellent champagne and managed to wile away over two very pleasant hours. If you cannot manage to eat everything and ask nicely, they will happily provide you with nice little containers to take your leftovers home! My American guest was very impressed.

From the moment we walked in we felt "part of the family" nothing was too much trouble and we had a wonderful and refreshing weekend break.

You must have the Sunday Lunch a magnificent array of delightful food beautifully presented but eat as late as possible as you need plenty of time to enjoy the magnificent breakfast.and let it digest!

Would love to make this a regular occurrence but would need a very "flexible friend"

We stayed for one night on April 13th so my wife could enjoy the babies and bump packages. We had a lovely room with great facilities, though we had to wait till exactly 3 pm to be allowed to check in. The hotel was busy though with lots of families taking advantage of the facilities before the Easter holidays finished. Tis meant the pool areas was busy with children but we could hardly moan seeing as we will have our own in three months time.

We had originally booked in The Bistro restaurant but were expertly rehoused in The Seasons restaurant when we requested it. We had a set evening menu with a small but appetising looking number of dishes.

Although my main of a trio of lamb was flavoursome and well cooked, my wife's main and my desert was surprisingly dissapoitning given the cost. My wife's was served with a strange aubergine concoction (baba gonoush) which wasnt on the menu and some flavourless mushrooms. My desert was advertised as a tropical trio containing banana , coconut and chocolate. The banana was just that a small slice of banana and I'm not sure where th coconut was. It did contain a shell like object containing whipping cream but no hint to coconut flavour, where as th chocolate was simply a slice of mouse.

That said the breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choice and an some locally sources food. And throughout the service was excellent.

It's impossible to describe how lovely this hotel is without sounding over the top. We are locals and were a bit sniffy when it first opened, expecting a swanky American hotel chain exploiting but not enhancing the history of the local area. We couldn't have been more wrong - although much of the hotel is newly built, it is absolutely gorgeous and blends brilliantly with its surroundings. After our first forays to check it out, we have been regulars over several years now for birthday lunches, Spa days and family dinners - sadly we live too close by to have an excuse to stay overnight, so can't comment on the rooms. Every time we come the staff mix impeccable manners and efficiency with genuine and welcoming smiles. The food is great (the Farmers' Sunday Brunch is spectacular), the atmosphere luxurious and all-enveloping. Of course, it's not cheap, but it's an experience, and for a special occasion there is nowhere else like it.
