Took my Dad for a birthday meal. Had brilliant time. Food was excellent, staff helpful and a couple of good real ales available. The village is lovely too.
Highly recommended.

Visited the Royal Oak following a recommendation. We visited at lunchtime and received a very warm welcome. The menus were clearly laid out and the food was excellent and just as described. The chilli con carne was very tasty and served with a nice side salad, side dish of grated cheese and a sour cream. The chicken and bacon salad looked lovely and there was plenty of it. The Ham, Egg and Chips were also well served. We all tucked into Apple and Blackberry crumble which was lovely. The tables were cleared promptly. The staff were lovely and friendly and we will be back. Only downside was another customer who had an obtrusive laugh, not the fault of the pub.;

This Pub is in the charming village of Lasham about mid way between Basingstoke and Alton, but really not related to either of those towns.

Lovely and cosy inside, lovely alfresco dining outside, well kept beers, lots of well presented and interesting locally based produce on the menu.

A gastro-pub as it ought to be, still clearly a traditional pub in a lovely location, but someone has gone the extra mile to put thought into the food and without inviting a celebrity chef in to triple the prices and halve the service!

Half of me wants to keep it to myself, but actually I fully recommend it.
