Outside it says Chinese, Indian and Thai Buffet Restaurant. Id say its an Indian Restaurant giving a wink and a nod to the others. All the Chefs and Owner/Managers are Indian. The restaurant is new, clean and impressive, a lot of expense has gone into it but I found the Buffet area confusing, there was no order/flow to the dishes of offer the starters were in the middle. the salad bar (if a bit of lettuce and pickled onions a salad) was laughable. Its very stylish to look at but there is no real substance to the style of food. It was average and over priced.

“Excellent front of house - service”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

Arrived at a fairly busy time early evening. Other restaurants on the same strip did not appear to be coping so well hence choosing Mimosa on this occasion.

Despite restaurant being very busy, we were greeted with a smile, seated straight away. The ngr was walking the floor all evening, making it his business to greet all customers, explaining how the buffet worked, even going so far as to explain that for us ladies the seats have a little 'cubby hole' where you can easily statsh your bag whilst walking the buffet. He was also clearly all over the staff (not that they needed it), if he spotted a spillage he was discreet in drawing it to the attention of staff.

We never had to wait for clean plates or clearing of our table. At something like £12.95 per adult you cannot really go wrong.

A good atmosphere and pretty good food (compared to many pan asian buffets we have visited previously). They certainly outstrip their fellow competitors in Westgate where customer service seems to be a particular issue.

Would recommend.

“Dont be fooled by the nice decor looks fab till u get up close and see what they really r serving”

I have been a customer of mimosa and it's previous name for a few yrs now so when it came here I thought great so I nagged my hubby to go there instead of Toby carvery Big mistake. On the windows it say Indian Chinese and Thai eat as much as u like we'll if u don't mind waiting 15 mins for each item u want as they cook very little and it runs out that's fine or if you want Thai but they don't cook any, most of the Indian food is veg or lentil only 3 Chinese dishes and the crispy duck well that was steamed so not crispy at all the drinks r expensive for what you get its not worth 12.95. Spent most of the eve waiting for food or for staff attention. When I spoke to manger he said his chef's are great and no appolgie given we'll as said I like the other's but I'm afraid I will not be going back and shall go to the other restaurants opposite for good food good service value for money and free coke refills ....

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

Had an enjoyable lunch here the other day. Good selection of Asian Buffet dishes including starters, main- and desserts. Plenty of staff around to take drinks orders and clear tables.
At £7.95 for the lunch buffet this represented excellent value. (£10.95 on Sundays and B Holidays)
The evening buffet, with an even larger selection costs £12.95 or £13.95 resp.
One drawback - they don't take reservations.
