We had a super Sunday lunch here recently . Three courses for less than £ 20 ! The food was excellent ! The restaurant is lovely , with great views over Salford Quays . We are going for dinner later this week ! Can recommend this restaurant .

“Superb relaxed dining experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

Great place for dinner, jump on the tram from Manchester centre you are there within 15 mins. Relaxed restaurant, great views, food excellent, been here half a dozen times since it opened last year, now they have a pub nearby too. Food always consistent. Last time I had a small sprig of chervil on my main course - wonderful, last time I had that was at Le Manoir.
You can have a fantastic dinner with a glass of champagne and a bottle of wine off the a la carte for around £80 for two, cheaper if you go for lunch or pre theatre menu.
Food delightful, cheeseboard excellent, probably my favourite restaurant in Manchester. Its not showy like some of the places in town, the food sings the loudest and because its in media city there are not lots of beer-users singing football nonsense.
Great place for a romantic dinner or lunch with a recently bereaved relative.
Go, you won't be disappointed.

“Good food, but bit disappointed with the speed of service for a pre theatre meal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

We decided to go to this restaurant for a pre theatre meal on a Friday evening.
We arrived about 2 hours before the start of the show and were greeted by polite and friendly staff. The decor was lovely and there was a nice atmosphere.
We decided to go for the set menu as the options looked good and the price was very reasonable.
it took a while for anyone to take our order but when they did we advised we were going to theatre and asked if they could please be quick with the food.
The starters came out quickly and were tasty.
However, the mains took a long time to come, and we unfortunately had to ask the waiter where our food was.
When our mains arrived (I had the Slow braised Cheshire beef which was lovely!) we had just enough time to quickly eat them and finish our wine which was a bit disappointing as we really wanted to try a dessert but didn't have time.
Overall the restaurant and food was good, however we were a disappointed that the service was quite slow when we had advised that we were going to the theatre and had booked 2 hours before the start of the show.

“Excellent food, great views, great restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2013

I visited Damson for the first time (although embarrassingly I do work at MediaCity!) on 19th December for our department Christmas Lunch. We were not disappointed! It's beautiful inside, lots of nice tables, great atmosphere (even though we were pretty much on our own)
The food was lovely, fine dining, wonderful flavours.
Good choice of wine and not too ridiculously priced considering the type of restaurant.

We were suitably impressed however..there was one little niggle and that was regarding payment. Each diner had a little card so you could add drinks onto your own bill and then pay for yourself at the end however this in theory works ok, but when you then have some wine it can throw it out a little bit as obviously someone has to pay for it and then split it. We did have a bit of a fiasco paying, it took us nearly 30 minutes as each person had to go to the till and pay individually for whatever they had. It would have been much quicker to just give the table a bill and let them work it out themselves.
Apart from that though I will definitely go back. Do take the time to go and visit..

Had a great christmas party with work. The food was great, the staff were polite and gave fantastic service and the wine was spot on! This was my first dining at Damson but I will definitley be returning back with friends and family in the near future.

Thanks again for the great night, see you soon.
