Incredible spacious rooms, spacious corridors, spacious reception, modern design, lots of technology, and an excellent, caring, and helpful staff. The only thing to improve is the maintenance, the upholstery has too many stains.

Agree with the majority of reviews that this is a fabulous hotel with extremely skilled and friendly staff. It's a 2 min walk to the city centre so the location is great too.
The breakfast was delicious and service was impeccable. Whilst I agree with some reviewers that some parts of the public areas are quite stark, it's also bright and airy with lots of glass and urban views so not at all offputting. The bedrooms are also perfect environments and a really good size.
Will definetly stay here again!
I was in Manchester with colleagues on business. The hotel was booked for me.
I expected another "samey" city centre business hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised.
The room was huge and well apponted; the staff very attentive (tongue in cheek I'd say overly attentive!)
The whole place manages to combine almost ruthless efficiency with a relaxed and friendly air.
Criticism? Why is it necessary to ASK for tea and coffee in the room?
We stayed here for one night and found the hotel to be very good.
The staff were all very pleasant even when out child was being slighlty noisy at breakfast!
The room was big and modern and though we didnt eat in the restaurant, room service was fine.
Stayed at the Lowry for two nights over a weekend in July. The main reason for coming to Manchester was to see Kylie in concert and therefore we were looking for a hotel close to the MEN arena and also the shops. Having looked at a number of other options and read various reviews we eventually decided on the Lowry having found a good deal on the internet.
Having had a horrendous journey due to bad traffic on the motorways and also real difficulty trying to find the entrance to the hotel we eventually arrived. Check-in was smooth and efficient (I'd already checked in on line to help the process) and the room we had was large, well decorated and nicely appointed (though the view of the car park wasn't the most beautiful!).
We ate at the hotel the first night in the River Restaurant and the food was adequate but not amazing. The wine list was great, however, with lots of choice at reasonable prices. The staff in both the restaurant and bar were very helpful and friendly.
We didn't bother with breakfast largely due to the extortionate cost (£18.50 for a breakfast!) and so ate in the town instead. The hotel really is fantastically central and we were able to walk to both the shops and the concert making things so much easier.
Checkout was again very easy, although I do resent having to pay £12 per day for parking given the room rate.
All in all we had a great stay. Fantastic rooms, friendly and professional staff and an excellent location. I'm glad we had an internet rate, however, as the rack rate was prohibitively expensive.
We went to this hotel as a treat and it was fantastic, they upgraded our room to a riverside view without us even asking. It is in a good location, a bit difficult to find, but central when getting a taxi to the centre.
We had afternoon tea and then breakfast in the room and you got loads to eat.
I would really stop again. I cant wait for our next visit.
