“CBBC Tour at Media City”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

An interesting and highly interactive hour and a half tour. Our girls aged 11 and 7 loved it, and there was lots of opportunities to have a go at presenting and lots of photo opportunities - perhaps not great for introverts. Guides were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly and kept our interest as it was quite a pacey tour. There were about 15 of us on ours. Its not very easy to see where you are supposed to meet, as the entrances aren't clearly marked - head for the daleks! Manned receptions in other buildings meant we were able to ask so it wasnt a problem. You can't take in back packs but there are lockers. As Blue Peter badge holders our daughters got in at reduced rates, so it was extremely good value. Definitely worth booking - but note we had to book about 3 months in advance!

“Great location....great feel...”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

About time the North had a media city to be proud of and the aptly named Media City delivers on all fronts.

Easily accessible via tram or car with a handful of delightful restaurants nearby and even more across the Quays near the Lowry Mall.

“Festival of food 2013”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

Brilliant, held outside the lowery and all the way over to media city, there was tent upon tent of food suppliers, all nationalities and types, there was live music and star appearances doing master classes in their field. Brilliant day, well organised and hope its on next year. well done.

“Fantastic Tour!”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

This was a fab way to spend 90 mins!

The young bbc staff who ran the tour - Jane and Verity I think - were brilliant! Knowledgable, witty, friendly, engaging and full of enthusiasm!

You can ask as many questions as you like. You get to see the studios where Blue Peter MOTD/Football Focus/Final Score are recorded as well as a radio drama studio and the BBC breakfast set. Lots of interesting tit bits of information along the way and a bit of an insight into television production for those of us who don't work in the industry!

Without wanting to spoil any surprises there's a bit of fun at the end for those who like to get really interactive and take part! And for all the others it's a good laugh!

A great addition to the leisure/entertainment offer at MediaCity/Salford Quays.
