I stayed at the hotel because i had booked a ticket for the football match and it was very closed to the stadium. It is only 10 minutes far by foot. The tram is also very close and easy to go downtown. Generally is quiet area and nice place for walking. The room was good but not something special.

Yes, the bedrooms could do with a wee update, but overall this was good value. I stayed a couple of nights, taking in a Game at Old Trafford. We got a free full cooked breakfast and complimentary drinks at the bar included, as well as free wifi.

I booked it all online direct with the hotel, and would not hesitate returning. The much maligned reception staff were excellent.

stayed here for one night after seeing michael mcintyre at the M.E.N. Staff were very helpful and the room was immaculate. Reception staff were friendly and the hotel itself is lovely, though could do with updating in some areas (bathrooms were a bit outdated but clean so not a major criticism). View was lovely from the room and breakfast is of outstanding quality. Highly recommended

stayed 1 night for business. Reception area v nice reception staff helpful.
Bedroom was ok, but needs an updating - the tv is massive (needs a flat screen)
I had room service which was expensive (tray fee £3) food was ok but nothing special and the order was wrong initially
Bed was comfortable and room clean.it was quiet and sleep quality good. The fan in the bathroom was v noisy.
Breakfast was good with wide choice a plenty of it.

Stayed here 2 nights on business.
Rooms a good size, windows open and generally comfortable furnishings.

Analogue TV very old fashioned looking and although reasonable selection of channels - flat-screen really needed.

Bathroom tired and old. Clean and good water pressure/temperature from shower but tiles, and general fittings need updating.

Eat in restaurant one evening and one breakfast. Food plentiful and very nice.

Staff didn't go out of way to help but weren't grumpy just a little stand-offish.

Location not bad - good for Old Trafford and tram stop just minutes walk away.

Would choose to stay in centre of town next time but wasn't at all bad.

I quite like the tiles in the bathroom and I am convinced that taste will shortly come full circle and they will once again be the height of design.

This hotel was ok overall. I had a road facing room on the top floor, but it was not too noisy and the view of the road was shielded by trees, so fine when there are still leaves around.

The decor of my room was certainly dated, but the room was clean and everything was in working order. Yes the TV was not a flat screen, but at least it had Freeview. I did notice that the lift lobby on the fourth floor looks more welcoming than the sparse lobbies on the remaining floors, so maybe this is an indication that the top floor is in better order than those below?

On cleanliness, the only thing that was poor was the remote control for the TV. It looked like somebody had eaten their dinner off of it - so pretty disgusting. I have never complained about cleanliness in a hotel before, but I handed the remote in at reception as I checked out. I think that they got the message.

I did not eat any hot food in the hotel, but the continental breakfast was only just ok. Once again there was no real bread available in this hotel just your standard limp white and brown from a packet. The granary bread mentioned on the breakfast menu was nowhere to be seen.

The parking is a plus point for this place - free for residents and lots of space.

The hotel was average but I would not stay here again as I only ended up here as I could not find anything else nearby. I would definitely not stay here if I was spending my own money.

Room Tip: Top floor might have the better rooms. Loads of parking.
