“Great location”

Very nice hotel, out of the main drag but very close to a shopping centre and restaurants. The hotel was modern and clean. The Media part is all the TV recording studios around it and a fantastic hige screen in the middle of the square where you can see the BBC news being televised live right outside the studio. The gym is good and the rooms typically Hilton standard which is perfect for business trips.

Have used this hotel a couple of times, it is all very new and in decent shape.

It is a tall building with sixteen floors, and the rooms on the (I think) East side have a superb view across the city. As with all tall hotels, the water pressure on the higher floors is acceptable rather than whooshing. Being so tall, there are no opening windows, so the only ventilation is via the A/C: check the controls work properly before unpacking your bag in case you need to move.

Parking is in a huge and tip-top multi-storey next door. There are unloading bays where you can stop to check in and unload your bags, then you must put your car away: park at the end which says "exit to Booths", it will bring you out just next door to the hotel. Reception will punch a hole in your car park ticket, so the overnight charge is (November 2012) £6.50 - do that straight away so you don't have to queue at reception in the morning just to collect your car!

The area is fairly newly built, so you won't find the hotel (or probably the road it's on) in your sat nav. Openstreetmap is more up-to-date than Google Maps, and you'll find the location via http://goo.gl/9KoNX

I've not eaten dinner there, but the breakfast is fine, the usual buffet. Just allow time for going up and down the lifts, paying for and collecting your car and then checking out when you plan your morning timetable.

I will stay there again.

Stayed here for one night for a business trip in November. Can't fault the hotel; extremely efficient and pleasant, the room was clean and everything you'd expect. Check-in and -out were very rapid and overall it was excellent value for money.

Literally cannot believe this property is a Holiday Inn. It could just as easily pass as a much higher-end hotel range.

The finish to the rooms is brilliant, and they are well sized with beautiful ensuite bathrooms. The main concern with the rooms was noise from the other rooms. I was in an adjoining room and I could hear TV noise from the adjoining room on the first night. Despite chapping on both doors the noise continued. It can be annoying as the doors obviously do not isolate noise well and the televsions point kind of straight at them, so my advice would be to avoid adjoining rooms.

The gym seems decent, and the breakfasts are nicely laid out but busy busy busy as this is a large hotel with a heavy footfall.

I'd definitely stay here again. Rooms are clean and comfortable and whilst it's not quite a Radisson Blu for business visits, it's pretty damn close. If you're here for BBC work, theres no better situated hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid Adjoining rooms and attempt to be on floor 12, as floor 8 is the first floor and 12 is the las...

Stayed here for one night in November 2012. Hotel is generally excellent, although the beds were a bit hard. Be careful when parking as you will be charged everytime you leave the hotel as it is pay & display

We stayed here on new years eve because we had tickets to old trafford that day.

The hotel was in an excellent location, it was only about 15 minutes walk to old trafford, 5 minutes from salford quays and right next door to booths.

The room was spacious, modern and clean, definitely nicer than some more expensive hotels I have stayed in previously. There was also a desk right by a big mirror, hair dryer and several sockets which was perfect for me to get ready! I would also imagine that this would be convenient if you were staying here for work purposes. The view was also great because we could see the whole of salford, which was particularly amazing at midnight when all of the new year fireworks went off.

The bathroom was immaculate and spacious, with very nice shower gel! The whole room and bathroom looked newly rennovated.

The breakfast was brilliant, everything you could ask for was prepared. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely return.

Especially for the price, this was a great stay. Staff were friendly and professional. The Wifi was not just included but reasonably capable. The room and bed were comfortable and quite clean. I could find some things to grumble about, namely:

* What is with the floors that squeak in new construction. Really they should be more solid. Not something especially fixable, though.

* Amazing amount of noise in the bathroom. Not sure what from. Maybe it was service carts over my room or something? Anyway, it didn't bother me--the bathroom door & walls were thick enough for it not to come through.

* While we are at it--bathroom lighting was too dim.

* The tub height was strange, but tubs are all strange in the UK :). It meant being careful when bleary eyed in the morning so as not to end up sprawled on the floor.

* Would be nice if they just had a simple fridge. There is a fine market conveniently right outside the front door for buying supplies. I know they are trying to drive mini-bar use, but just charge more for the room and give us a mini-fridge.

* Check-out could have been quicker.

Those, however, are all minor complaints for what is otherwise a very well situated, comfortable hotel. Definitely recommended.
