Visited Friday 6th Dec for our works doo, what a dreadful experiance, the food came out too quick - half of the party hadn't even arrived, no pompadoms was given as a starter, when asked if we could have some - they replied haven't you had any yet ( very rude). The starters was very dry and tasteless -you could spit feathers. Ask them to bring out starters when other party members arrived, however they brought out main meals at the same time, we felt rushed they even took our food away before we had finished. I wouldn't go there again or recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!

Visited on a Thursday around 6ish. The decor is quite nice and for such a large place was lovely and warm on a fairly cold day although we were sat right next to a radiator which obviously helped.

Now to the important bit....the food.

In a word....dreadful.

We had fish starters, garlic fish which was said to be chunks of cod in a garlic based sauce with onions and peppers....the fish was very dry in a strange tasting batter and there wasn't even a hint of garlic in the sauce and no sign of any peppers. Very very tasteless and bland, didn't seem to have any flavour at all.
The 2nd starter was exotic sardines, these were slightly better than the cod but not by much! Considering they were supposed to be cooked using various spices it's hard to believe that again there was no flavour and very very bland, it was also mushed up sardines on roti bread which wasn't made clear in the description on the menu.

Main Course
Ordered a lamb house special....noticed straight away that it was in fact 2 huge pieces of chicken with no seasoning at all and looked like it was boiled sat in a sauce with no flavour, much like the starters. The other curry ordered was a chicken ghurkali which was slightly better but still not upto scratch for what you'd expect from an Indian restaurant and bland and flavourless.
We decided rather than eat the curries we would tell the waiter what we thought about the flavourless food and also as one of the curries was chicken when lamb was ordered that rather than re cook what we ordered we would just leave. The waiter was understanding and only charged us for drinks and not the starters we'd eaten which was appreciated. He did go on to get his point across that out of the thousands of customers they've had we were the only customers to complain about the food so maybe we've just gone on a bad day or eaten at much nicer restaurants than this. But don't take my word for it and give them a try yourself...Hopefully honest review's like this can only point out faults that may get addressed and make for a better restaurant.

I must admit I have been here before long time ago and the decor and surroundings are much improved, its a lovely looking place. The staff are friendly enough, unfortunatly the food gets a thumbs down.we visited on a tuesday night early on and ordred 2 starters &2 mains as it is buy 1 get 1 free monday to thusday. The 2 meals we had were bland, literally tasted of nothing,1 of them, the hottest one, I could only taste the heat not the flavour in the little try of them we had, Allthough this wasnt the worst about it.The starters were awful, we had the sardines and the cod in garlic sauce. They we bland and tasteless and really greasy also was not as described on the menu, sardines came out with puri bread which was not mentioned and they were broken up into mush whereas I Would have thought they would have been grilled. The cod have a very fishy off taste and no garlic sauce to speak of just dry& bland. When the mains came out and they were bland too oh,and boiled chicken in the curry (we had orded lamb!) we sent the food back and just paid for our drinks and left.Maybe at weekend when there are entertainment acts on & its full price maybe the standard of food goes up,I dont know.try it for yourselfs, maybe it was just a bad night but we wont be returning.I think as a tip for them they should contrate on improving the quality of the food rather than focusing on the entertainment side of things at weekend.
