This visit was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I hadn't mentioned this to the restaurant (to avoid any fuss) but I was therefore keener than usual that the evening went well. I needn't have worried! The food (as ever) was beautifully varied in taste, spicing and texture. We had monkfish, lamb (2 different ways), chianina dhal and chicken. All were delicious, along with naan, rice and chutneys. The place was busy with a large party in the front room, but this didn't affect the quality of food and service one bit. We were even given an impromptu lesson in napkin folding and Romy took the time to pop over for a couple of chats as well.

A great evening all round. Can't wait to go again, and strongly recommend others to try Romy's if they haven't already.

Thank David M

Just back from a lovely evening at Romy's Kitchen - as we live in Almondsbury we are so pleased to have found this unique Indian restaurant 5 minutes drive from us. Staff all very welcoming and friendly and Romy came out to see us and introduce herself, which was a lovely touch as she was obviously very busy - every table was taken this evening. Can't wait till your book is published Romy - I will definitely be buying a copy!

Romy's food is different to the usual Indian you find in England - not heat, heat, heat but flavour and spicing that make each mouthful a lovely experience, Prices are very reasonable too - would highly recommend and we will be back, as will our friends who came over from Stroud to join us this evening.

This was a very last Christmas present from my wife, and what a good choice it was!

When we arrived the staff were very friendly and welcoming which was lovely, especially as we were running late! The service was very friendly and efficient. The waitress talked us through the options and advised on various dishes. As we were running late we decided to skip the starter but to share three mains between the two of us with a naan bread and rice. We also opted for 'extra hot'

The food arrived promptly and was delicious. Each dish was superb and was hot without being uncomfortable, just the way I like it.

We will definitely be back as soon as we can!

Thank you for your kind words, and we're glad you enjoyed your meal. We're always keen to highlight that we're not a "normal" Indian restaurant - we love introducing people to flavours and dishes that they may not have experienced before. Thank you!

Lunch here was memorable - I had the vegetarian thali and my friend had the chicken one. We both fond the meal tasty and interesting.

Thank you, Dave, for taking the time to write a review. We're glad you enjoyed our lunch offering - the thali is a great introduction to the a la carte menu that we serve in the evenings. We hope to see you again soon!
