We have stayed at Cowley a number of times and never fail to find it relaxing and hospitable. As ever, the staff gave us a warm and cheery welcome. We were delighted to find that, unbeknown to us, we had been upgraded to an Excellent Room, which had fantastic views over the garden. This made our last stay even more special. To be honest, we have never had a bad room. They are all unique and have stylish mid-century modern furniture and textiles, together with specially commissioned artwork. The bathrooms are fab.

Again, the spa is warm and welcoming and the treatments are excellent. The staff are fantastic.

This is a colourful, quirky hotel in a beautiful location, where you will be treated very well but without the pressure of formality.

Thanks again Cowley. We'll be back!

Called into Cowley Manor to view as a possible venue for our daughters wedding. At reception we were greeted but before we could speak the phone rang & receptionist took the call without a word to us. Not impressed. Second receptionist became free & we made our enquiry regarding wedding. However we were advised event staff busy in a meeting & no one available to help us. Not impressed. Had a quick walk around. Not impressed. No one took the opportunity to speak or advise us. Not impressed,

Beautiful place in the country for a romantic getaway. Wouldn't recommend a stay longer than 3-4 days as not much to see and do within walking distance of the place. Venue itself is very smart and contemporary though. Cool pool room. Service is very good. We stayed in an exceptional room overlooking the lake and the view in the mornings was fantastic.

Breakfast was superb, dinner was very good as well but the price stung (always does at these type of hotels though...)

Spa area is very cool, indoor and outdoor pool and really pulls off the luxury look and feel.

Gardens were a nice surprise. Doesn't look like it initially but once you start ambling around, you can spend an hour or so in the private gardens and there's plenty of wildlife and sights to see so this was a good extra.

Green Dragon Inn is the only local we found within walking distance and it was a classic rural English pub, well worth a visit there.

Room Tip: Go for the exceptional room, morning balcony views are awesome

The most wonderful place for a Wedding every thing was 5 star and The Wedding Planner Danielle was wonderful also the whole of the staff were as well. A must for a wedding.
We had a BBQ wedding there was no waiting around every single guest said how wonderful the wedding was and that they would be coming back next year for a holiday. we stayed in the main hotel but our daughter stay in the outer building and the size of her room was great as she had 3 children and there was so much room for them all.

Room Tip: The whole Place is wonderful

Beautiful contemporarily furnished Costwold hotel set in magnificent grounds. Two course lunch in the restaurant was dreadful. Wild mushroom soup was like wallpaper paste and the roast beef whilst ok had overlooked tasteless vegetables, thin gravy and a Yorkshire pudding almost as big as the plate. My friend had very small portions and the presentation of everything looked like school dinners. Service was not attentive and brusque. Better to eat the club sandwiches by the outdoor pool in the lovely spa. Indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam room all tastefully done. Spa products were ok but not special. These guys need a trip to Babingdon House to see how it should be done.
