“A Taste of the Country”
Reviewed October 23, 2012 for a stay in October 2012

We stayed here for a long weekend and would throughly recommend. The cottage is decorated to a high standard, cosy living room with a real log fire and beautifully equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms are very comfortable and loved bathroom's the rolled topped bath. The freshly baked cake left for us on our arrival was much appreciated after a long journey and made us feel welcome.

Blockley is a picture postcard village and everyone we met was very friendly. A trip to the village shop is essential, it has a good selection of groceries and a small cafe where we had breakfast each morning, the toasted fresh bread was delicious. The Crown Inn which is a 5 minute walk away offers a varied menu and the restaurant was very pleasant. We found Blockely a great based to visit other villages like Broadway and Burton-on-Water.

This was my first visit to the area and am looking forward to hopefully returning next year.

“Charming Cottage”
Reviewed September 26, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

We just loved our stay at this charming and comfortable cottage. The setting is amazing - there is a brook running by the little house and lovely cottages all around. Blockley is picture book perfect - as someone described it "a hidden gem". The rental itself is lovely - a big fireplace in the living room and the nicest kitchen with lots of glass letting in light and a wonderful view. The bedrooms are cozy and inviting. The location is perfect - we could walk to the little grocery store and to the Crown Inn for wonderful meals. The Inn restaurant which gets a average rating is now under new management and the food was absolutely wonderful. It is well worth a try. We loved being in this place! If we could be permitted one small suggestion it would be that the rugs could be vacuumed a little more thoroughly. Otherwise the place was spotless.

“Beautiful cottage in idyllic village”

We spent a wonderfully relaxing few days in this quaint old cottage renovated to a high standard. Situated next to babbling brook in a stunning Cotswold village that has two pubs, excellent restaurant and great community shop. We just loved it! You do need to walk a few minutes along the brook from the car to the cottage but that is part of the charm. Didn't use the car for three days as there are lovely walks from the cottage.
