The Hotel is more like a Motel the rooms are in blocks outside a bit like Butlins but under a roof. The rooms are basic but ok. The restaurant was the best part of the Hotel which served nice food and the bar area well serviced. The Spa (which is the facilitie we went for) was awful, the actual building was old, ugly and run down. The pool was small and very mirky and cloudy, I couldn't bring myself to get in it. The area with the pool and whirlpool bath is very small. The gym is adequate with decent equipment. Overall we went away for a spa break but there are minimal spa facilities and what was there was poor. Definetely not the spa break I had envisaged but the restaurant was good. Would NOT go back.

We stayed here for a wedding in May 2012. This is more like a motel than a hotel, most of the rooms are in separate buildings located around the complex. We were in room 332, it is run down, old fashioned and smells. This cramped little room it fitted out with tired looking fixtures, the window locks are broken and the bathroom just looks grubby.

This cost £60 for one night without breakfast.

The Hotel itself is situated next to the A12. The promotional photos don't warn you of this little joy! Oh, there is a wishing well in the bar. I was wishing i had stayed at the Premier Inn down the road for £30.

Never again.

Room Tip: I understand the rooms in the main building are nicer than the detached blocks.

First impressions at the reception are ok and seeing the bar area it looked acceptable. However, when we went to our room and walked in we were knocked back by the horrible damp musty smell. As we were only going to be sleeping for one night we thought we just couldn't be bothered to ask for another room. BUT be warned - when we got home we didn't realise how badly our clothes smelt of this horrible musty smell!! I would not recommend getting ready here for anything or you would go smelling of damp and mould!! Suits and dresses worn for the wedding need to be taken to dry cleaners asap and everything else was washed straightaway. The only good thing was the location which was ideal for our venue just up the road. Yes the room was only £60 but you would expect something half decent. Never again and would never recommend it to anyone.

Stayed here for a wedding down the road agree with other tripadvisor ratings, the place had a musty damp smell but in my case the rooms were like it as well. The place said 24 hour bar came back from the wedding and the bar was closed due to a gypsy wedding and yes just like the TV young girls being chased my just as young boys. Would not recommend any body stay here cleaner and better service at the Premier Inns.

Room Tip: Looked in a couple of rooms all the same

We stayed at the hotel primarily as we were attending a wedding reception held there. The first thing that hits you is the musty damp smell in the corridors leading to the rooms. The rooms were ok, if a little cramped but the bathroom was interesting. The taps were so close to the edge of the basin it was impossible to put your hands underneath them. The result being that the bathroom floor would get soaked. The breakfast was plentiful, served promptly and well cooked however the coffee was dreadful. The layout out all the chalets looks a bit dated and I am sure that with a bit of money spent on the appearance, it would benefit the hotel considerably. The staff all seemed helpful and pleasant.

The first impression of this hotel was tired, needed some TLC and a good clean. The receptionist was very welcoming. The rooms are dire, they are like Butlin's chalets, very small and not part of the hotel, but part of 'outbuildings' with no WIFI in the room. My bathroom was grimy and the windows were filthy, I was glad I was just staying the one night. The staff were friendly but my evening meal which I had in my room was still on the floor outside my door when I left in the morning, as were everyone else's. Not a very pretty sight in the morning.
We had a conference there and the lunch was lovely, fresh fruit and sandwiches with lovely big chunky chips, more than enough for everyone. I would say that for a business lunch it is fine, but lower your expectations as an overnight hotel guest.

Arrived, parked easily and was greeted nicely and efficiently at reception. We had Room 606 which was spacious, warm, with a comfortable kingsize bed and plenty of storage. Only complaints about the room was the TV being very small (compared to Travelodge/Premier Inn) and was stuck on a stand in the middle of the floor, also the bath had been painted with cream paint which was chipping off and the showerhead looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months - water came out like a tap rather than like a shower head!

Swimming pool, though a bit small was adequate for a this hotel, sauna and steam rooms also a nice touch.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, the buffet supplied for the party we were at was great, bar staff were jovial and efficient, the surroundings were comfortable and spacious and had the sun been shining the garden looked inviting too (despite being next to the A12!).

Had a very good nights sleep, breakfast in the morning was excellent (again very efficient) and an excellent choice of goodies to be had. Check-out was just as easy as check in.

OVERALL - For £79 for a double room this hotel is great value for money (facilities/breakfast/good nights sleep) and we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you can, get a room in the main hotel.
