Cold February 1/2 term visit. Arrived in time for mad science at lunchtime fantastic 30 mins of fun for all ages. Rocket making & launch simple but entertaining. Nerf gun range long queue for short go but boys enjoyed. Plan to go back in summer to see more. Truck ride to look forward to. Great value day £45 for 2 adults & 5children.

“Worth a visit if your not too far but not worth a long journey!!”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

Have been to the Mills a few times but only because it's not too far away.
They have a science show with a mad professor which is fun to watch & take part in. The sights are average, they used to make them more fun to walk around with air raid sirens etc. But last few times they haven't been on. They have an armoury & a cinema screen showing the history of gunpowder.
They have different days & activities on throughout the year like medieval weekend & spy weekend which are rather fun but can be a little unorganized sometimes.
They have some science experiments to try out and a rifle range & a kiddy archery range. They give each person 1 free go on the rifle range & archery but you've got to buy tickets for £1 each for more goes.
Overall, depending on the day you choose to go on will depend on the day you have.
Worth a day out if its not a long journey but not worth a long trip.

“two for one”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

The best part about this place is the day you visit, you get a voucher to go back again the following week. There is always something on, be it jousting or re-enactments from the past. we had a good time here over the 2 days we went.
