Visited for 3 nights with my wife and daughter at the end of July. We paid £100, and for that price we could not fault it. The staff were friendly and the hotel spotless, and it is located centrally and only about a 10 minute walk to the sea front. The weather was very hot during our stay, and we were given a fan when checking in which i thought was a nice touch....also the staff were happy to put our freezer blocks in the hotels freezer every night so we had them for our cool bag :) The only negative i could give is that it would benefit from a bar within the hotel and that the public car park across the road can be very busy, it costs £10 a day and the civil enforcement officers are hot at giving out ticket!! There is no restraunt at the hitel, but there are plenty of places nearby to eat, and a small cafe - Dwyers opposite which is excellent food and great value. If i can get a similar deal next july/august i will defenitely return.

Been a while since we have stayed at Travelodge. With all the hype etc. regarding improvements decided to give it another go. Not bad, beds and furniture certainly improved but same thin poor quality towels. Unfortunately it was one of the really hot weekends when we stayed and there is no air-conditioning, an electric fan was provided. Location was central for a short visit. Loved the early check in feature, worth £10.00.

We booked several rooms for my wife's 40th birthday. Hotel very clean and comfortable, staff friendly and very good value. We paid £65 per room. 5 mins walk to town centre and 10 mins to the seafront. There's a Frankie and Benny's just over the road if you want a cooked breakfast. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a quite room, there's a nightclub on the other side of the hotel. No a/c so if it's...

Picked the room as it was a convenient location for the seafront. The room was really clean and well organised. Bed was comfy. Value was superb for what you get. Just really wanted hand soap in the bathroom.

booked two roomsone for my husband and myself and our son and his family for weekdend of 12th july for two night, I did phone ahead and book quieter rooms and that was on the computer when we booked in, the staff here are lovely nothing was to much trouble, one of the staff even lent me her umberella when it was raining,Parking was no trouble parked in the large car park across the road, plenty of places to eat around the hotel, it is in the club area of southend so we did expect noise but it was not unbearable and we could sleep with the windows open, the rooms were clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable, will be using this hotel again when we come down to see family

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room when booking
