“Lovely Bakers, worth a visit”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

Visited this week for the first time. Good selection of bread, cakes and pastries, and real portions, the taste is fresh, and reminds me of 30 yrs ago ! when we all had a decent bakers... the price... well I have no complaints, good food for a very decent price

“An old fashioned bakers on the High Street near the beach”
Reviewed August 1, 2013 via mobile

Great selection of breads, cakes, fresh cream cakes, fresh coffee and a wide selection of sandwiches / rolls / batons made to order. Also sells hot sausage rolls and pasties. Opens early til mid afternoon.
There's no seating but it's just around the corner to Shoebury East Beach. Not far from Shoebury station. There is ample parking outside (restricted to an hour I think).

It'd be nice to see them make some unusual breads like a round cottage loaf, eg at the weekends.
My only teeny tiny gripe is they seem to have changed the Iced Fingers recipe. The pink icing is lovely but they taste more doughy now.
The Apple Slice is still a firm favourite. As well as Cherry Muffins.
This bakers is popular with locals and visitors to the stunning local beach.
Definitely worth a visit. Just don't arrive too late during the day if you want to get the best choice of the cakes and breads they sell.
