Family of 8 celebrating our Dads 80th Birthday, welcome was good (Chris) and then went down hill from there. No choice of Tea had to ask for green tea, no choice of sandwich fillings mainly beef and boney salmon, and a few egg rolls, dry scones with no butter, and fancy pastries that fell apart as you picked them up. We were left with no service at all other than an hour later get asked if we wanted more tea or coffee not ever asked were we happy with everything or finished then we had to ask for the table to be cleared. We asked for the sandwiches and cakes left over to be wrapped to take home to find we only got half of what was left. Basically waitress service was non exsistent had to chase for our bill to have 10% added on for service which we did not receive. A wedding going on as well where we had guests carrying flower arrangements through the restaurant, and bride, bridesmaids guests all walking through, if i was that bride and groom would not be happy!!!!. We had tea at the Sands in Southend half the price and quality and service was much better.

tropical plants surround this place and on a warm sunny day who needs abroad! nice wine a good choice of rums, and in the evening you can turn on the heaters under the umbrellas if it gets chilly and they stay on till you turn them off! i can see why this hotel is number one friendly and clean and relaxing ! good luck to the owner and all there staff keep up the good work

Excellent menu choice, delicious food, very well presented and very good service, although the prices are only very slightly higher than was expected, the meal was worth every penny. Good wine list and fantastic views of the beach/sea.

We recently went to the Roslin for afternoon tea. We were not disappointed.
We had a lovely window table with a clear view of the seafront. The table was arranged very nicely with pretty, matching crockery. Two pots of tea were brought to the table ,along with two stands layered with sandwiches, scones and small cakes. The service was slightly slow at times but the staff were busy with other tables ,at all times the staff were very polite and helpful.
I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea and the Roslin. My mother told me she got quite choked up when she walked into the room as the table looked so nicely laid out.
Once again a lovely visit.
