This was a last minute booking and was chosen as they would let the dog stay. Oddly we never met the owners as we arrived late and left early. It could have easily been really nice but it wasnt! Luckily i always take wet wipes with me as the room was filthy - teh glass in teh bathroon had red marks on it, the toilet seat was dirty and the windows had layers of dirt on top. The bed linen was clean (otherwise we wouldnt have stayed). For £75 this is very expensive and i have stayed in a lot better a lot cheaper

stayed here for a night with 4 friends. Friendly welcome, stayed in rooms 1 & 2 -lovely and clean with all facilities needed. Great location for both town and seafront with off road private parking -a bonus. Good nights sleep in comfy bed. Breakfast in morning was great- help yourself to cereals then a full English with toast ,tea and orange juice. All nice and more than acceptable as only paid 25 each for the nights stay including breakfast. would definitely recommend, as one of the better b&bs in Southend within this price range. Excellent value for money and would definitely stay again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We stayed last Saturday night and the location of the Victorian B&B is centrally located in a quiet area, with pubs and nice places to eat nearby.

The beach is 2 mins away and the owners were very friendly. The room was clean and a nice comfortable bed, breakfast in the morning was great.

Definitely recommend and we will be back again

I stayed here as we were flying from southend airport the next day. Reception staff were very helpful and accomodating to help us stay even though we arrived at 2am! The interior was dated (but spotless!) and the bed was not very comfortable as the springs could be easily felt through the matress but for £42 including breckie and car parking you cant go wrong. Would definately return.

Going to Cliff's Pavilion to see the Hollies, we decided so stay in a local hoel, even though we only live 25 mils away.
Picked this hotel completely at random from the internet and what a great little find.
Room was great, parking was easy and breakfast we excellent.
This is a small family run hoel it seems, and all the family are very attentive.
We go back late from the concert, too late to eat in, but the staff were only too pelased to help us order an Indian takeaway and when it arrived provided plates and cutlery for us to use.
The bar is small, but very friendly and the other people in this hotel were obviously enjoing it as much as we were.
I note very mixed reviews, but for the price, what do peopl eexpect.
I can only say we had a very good experience.and woudl certainly return, (if he Hollies ever do).

The guest house is in a good position for the town centre with limited parking to the rear.
The bedroom we had, number 3 on the top floor has a sea view if you looked sharp left. The bed was terrible, springs easily felt through the mattress. Pelmet was hanging off and net curtains were all scrunched up, with a little effort from the owners my first impressions could have been different. Bedding and towels were old and worn out looking. The heating was not on when we arrived, when we got back that night or when we got up in the morning.

Left Somerset and headed to Essex for a friends 19th birthday! We were looking for somewhere which was comfortable and cheap. We found the Guest house online and a lovely lady on the other side of the phone booked us a room for 5 which was perfect as we all wanted to be together. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady, very mumsy and warm. We were told we would have a top floor flat which was perfect. Could not have asked anything more from a room that we were only using for one night! The shower was a little too powerful and one of the tvs didn't work but all in all very clean and beds were very comfy!

For £25 each including breakfast which was delicious, we had the best weekend ever and we thank the Atlantis Guest House for making our weekend so perfect :)
