I was in Southend for a one night stay and had dinner here. the restaurant was vety busy - Thursday evening 8ish, but room for one was no problem. I liked the stlye of the placer, even though in a new-ish building the decor was done in a rustic style - which is OK if you accept it for what it is.
Dinner was very nice, well presented and the steak I had was nicely cooked - something of a rarity in this genre of restaurant. overall, even dining along amongst many full tables, I enjoyed dinner and will definitely visit again next time I'm there.
