We drove past Channys tonight and liked the look of the restaurant so looked it up on Tripadvisor. The reviews convinced us to give it a go and we were not disappointed.
We had the Starter Selection, Honey Roast Pork, King Prawn Red Curry, Pad Thai wrapped in Omelette. Good sized portions and all were cooked very well and tasted delicious.
We will definitely go back again as there are so many dishes on the menu to try.
Give Channys a try and you won't be disappointed.

Lovely traditional thai-chinese food. Sea bass was outstanding as were the other dishes. Real nice and friendly people. Well worth the visit.

I believe Channy and her husband Simon have been open about 3 months, but word is getting round fast, as they are serving up truly authentic, delicious food, at reasonable prices. You can take your own alcohol too, which really helps with the bill at the end - an average spend is £15 a head. Channy cooks everything herself from scratch, so it's really fresh, and Simon serves it up. He's a very interesting guy, having travelled the world and having lived in Cambodia for three years, where he met his lovely wife. This means that you may have to be patient whilst waiting for your food to arrive, but good things come to those who wait!!! It will definitely be a regular place for us to eat from now on.

A friend had told my wife about this little daytime cafe/evening thai. Channy is an amazing cook. She can do traditional English from 0700, then switch to real Vietnamese/Thai food every Friday and Saturday evening from 1800-2200.
A lovely Vietnamese lady married to a local Englishman, we said hello briefly as she had just started evening service tonight (Friday). We were lucky to be first through the door. The room can only seat about 24 and they were fully booked. But as we were so early, we were given a table for two hours before it needed to be vacated.
We started with the Thai meze - two types of pancake roll - vegetable and chicken - thin fishcakes and a delicate salad of noodles, lettuce and carved carrot. Very pretty and very tasty, with two separate dipping sauces.
Next, a green chicken curry, a red beef curry, and a prawn pad Thai wrapped in an omelette. Absolutely some of the best food we have eaten in a lounge time. My wife spent some years in Kuala Lumpur and has travelled widely in the Far East - she loved the food. Take your own alcohol, be sure to book in advance and have a great evening. We have! Also, Channy will cook just about any fish to order. Let her know a day or two in advance and she'll buy it in. Sea bass comes highly recommended.

My husband and I had a meal here last Friday. You don't have to book, but it's not very big so don't be surprised if it is full on a Friday or a Saturday evening.

We've been to Cambodia and enjoyed the food there very much, so we ordered items from the Asian menu. We were very happy with the things we ordered.

The crispy pork is out of this world, and the very spicy papaya salad compliments everything. We complimented the owner, who then brought us out a free very generous trial size of the crispy duck to try too.

The Amok is very similar to a Thai curry but not as hot. The Lok Lak and Pad Thai were great too with.

Wish we could have ordered the whole menu to try. We met Channy who came out to say hello to us. Lovely lady.

The restaurant is a bring your own alcohol place, but there is an off licence opposite, which is handy.

Will definitely go back. We are yet to try it as a breakfast cafe.
