Owner description: The Queen's Theatre Hornchurch is a vibrant producing theatre in the London Borough of Havering, serving East London, Essex and beyond since 1953. As a registered charity and the cultural hub of the region, over 200,000 people enjoy the theatre's programme every year, including the best in home-produced theatre, visiting live entertainment and inspiring Learning and Participation projects. Behind the scenes almost all of our sets and costumes are all lovingly created on-site by our highly skilled carpentry workshop, scenic artists and wardrobe department. The Queen's receives regular funding from the London Borough of Havering and is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. This helps us put theatre at the heart of the cultural life of the community we serve.

“Great local theatre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

I've been to see most of the main productions this year, as well as one of the comedy nights. The seating is comfortable with a good view wherever you sit, and there is a nice bar, and resturant/cafe. The resident group of actors are very good, some you could easily imagine on stage in the west end. I particularly enjoyed The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice, and the outdoor Shakespeare production in the summer. Highly recommended!

“DEATH TRAP Well worth the price of a ticket.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

If you haven't seen the Queens Theatre production of Death Trap get a ticket while you still can. It is simply a terrific production of the Ira Levin's classic. The acting is first rate, the set and lighting are first rate...and the pace of the production is perfect. It is far harder to create the same atmosphere in a theatrical production as a movie but this does just that.
Go see. You won't be disappointed.

“Cosy intimiate theatre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2013

This is a cosy and intimate theatre with good views from all seats. Seats are very comfortable with plenty of leg room. There are steps to get down to the bar area which has comfortable armchairs and settees but there is a lift for those with walking difficulties. Staff in the cafeteria are very friendly and helpful. There is a good choice of food - both hot and cold - for a light meal or snack before the show. Teas and coffees are available too. There is a car park right opposite the theatre.

“Superb local theatre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

We attended an excellent production of the Rise and Fall of Little Voice. The theatre itself is superb with great views all round. We had a lovely light supper in the cafe on the ground floor which is also great for a coffee. The theatre is only a short walk from the High Street but you might want to hop on a bus if you're coming from Horchurch tube station. A large car park is just next door.

All in all, an excellent local facility.
