Owner description: The Queen's Theatre Hornchurch is a vibrant producing theatre in the London Borough of Havering, serving East London, Essex and beyond since 1953. As a registered charity and the cultural hub of the region, over 200,000 people enjoy the theatre's programme every year, including the best in home-produced theatre, visiting live entertainment and inspiring Learning and Participation projects. Behind the scenes almost all of our sets and costumes are all lovingly created on-site by our highly skilled carpentry workshop, scenic artists and wardrobe department. The Queen's receives regular funding from the London Borough of Havering and is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. This helps us put theatre at the heart of the cultural life of the community we serve.

Our first time at this theatre. Good seats at a reasonable price, good staff, bar and great show, so good we are going again.

Lovely theatre - small but atmospheric. Good seating and very good access and seating for disabled. Disabled loo and lift to first floor from entrance. You must book early for the disabled seats and ensure you state you wish to sit with the disabled person. Staff were very helpful. I would recommend this theatre if there is a show an elderly/disabled relative would like to see as it is so accessible. Parking provided but you would need to get there a little early to ensure a space.

“Getting a bit dated”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2012

We revisited here earlier in the year on a really wet day. It is getting a bit dated but we had a nice drink and something to eat, both were good value with some live music playing.

“Great local theatre”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 1, 2012

This is our nearest theatre. We regularly visit for their foyer comedy nights. They also have some good shows - usually one or two a season suit our tastes. The bar is well staffed.
