We visited here as a group of 4 (2 couples) on the recommendation of friends. We booked a table for 8:30 on Sat night & arrived promptly.
The restaurant was very full & we were asked to go to the bar for a drink as our table wasn't ready. There isn't really a bar for patrons to stand at so we were squashed into the corner trying to keep out of the waiters way.
Some 15 minutes later a group of 4 left the restaurant so we assumed we'd be seated pretty quickly. However it took over 10 minutes for them to lay the table so we weren't actually seated until 9pm.
After that little annoyance I have to say that the service did improve although it took a bit of time to receive drinks after ordering them.
The food was absolutely lovely! We were so full up that we couldn't have a dessert which was a shame as they looked very yummy.
I think the prices were pretty high for the starters - £9 for calamari & courgette fritters (hardly any courgettes) - which isn't really the price I would expect for a local restaurant. But the quality was very high so can't really complain!
I think if we'd have gone earlier or on a less busy night, the 1/2 hour for our table wouldn't have happened & put the slight taint on our evening.
We would go again simply for the delicious food but not at 8:30 on a Saturday night!
