“really lovely tasty lunch”
Reviewed November 8, 2013

We went to the Flamingo on 8th Nov and from the moment we stepped inside we knew we were going to enjoy it. Lovely décor, right atmosphere, warm welcome and lovely views. The soup was really lovely- so appetising. . After that I chose smoked haddock and marnay which was absolutely delicious - so tasty and what a generous portion my husband had steak and kidney pudding - he just said "scrumptious". The lovely selection of vegetables were perfectly cooked and they were served really hot. We finished with a nice of coffee. The waitress was just perfect and ensured that we enjoyed our meal. No one could fault this restaurant.

“great night”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

We had a great night at the Flamingo, a good 3 course meal, with live entertainment. The staff work hard to ensure customers needs are met. The menu is varied to suit all needs. There is parking on the forecourt. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and you are made to feel welcome. We are looking forwards to going there again soon.

“Old style silver service”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

You go to the Flamingo, we've been going there many years, and it has a certain style & elegance.
The bar staff always friendly, the table staff very efficient, silver service, the food British no nonsense cooked to perfection.
At the weekend they have an entertainer not too loud but always good.
We'll keep going there.

“Like a graveyard on a summer's evening”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

On a beautiful July evening I was taking a friend out for a birthday dinner; the Kingscliff Hotel restaurant (on the opposite side of the road) was closed for refurbishment but they recommended the Flamingo. However when we arrived the place appeared deserted. There were a couple of boards outside mentioning forthcoming entertainments but nowhere to say what the opening hours were -- we may have arrived a little to early and would have been happy to go for a stroll along the seafront. Given that it was a fine summer's evening, one of the best days this year, we were more than disappointed.
